That being said, scenario last night was, everyone is swinging at each other before round starts. Pretty typical. I'm 3rd in server on DTV (so not just screwing around) and clip someone. He reports me before round starts. I ask him why he did this. He ignores. So I submitted a poll to VK, as he was abusing the report system, reporting before a round even starts. Desire banned me on the spot, for abuse of the poll system, as Cap states.
I'm not an admin, obviously, and can't truly speak for what they do because as stated, I'm not one. I'm not disputing this ban, in the least, in part because from what I see, admins have little to no accountability for their actions. But again, I'm not an admin, and have no idea how difficult it must be to deal with the immaturity and BS they have to deal with on a daily basis. What happened happened, and that's fine with me.
What I'm curious about, Desire, is the answer to the question that was put to you before you banned me, that you answered just by banning me. How is reporting someone for teamwounding you before a round starts and you can't physically take teamwound damage anyways, not abusing the report system? Thanks in advance for not responding with gibberish and "everyone hates me" stuff, and actually giving an answer that shows you admins do care about the community and the job you do. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who has this particular question. Please note, for the record, I am not calling for a "revenge teamkill" or a "you reported me I kill you" situation. Just curious for a clarification.

On Na 1 just minutes ago I was kicked from the server just minutes ago as the last player on my team. Not because I was delaying, but simply because I was an archer who had the audacity to climb on a hill. I was slaying the enemy team when I was kicked. When confronted with why I was kicked, I was informed they simply did not want to lose their modifier. Below is proof. I demand that this admin is suspended for abusing their power.

Of course when confronted with evidence that can't be denied you simply attack my character and tout the party line. Prove to me where you indicated that I, LLJK_NaughtPrimary was warned. Thanks to Muki everyone can see the entirety of what happened. Breaking a rule may net you a warning, mute, kick or ban at admin discretion depending on severity of rule broken and player history (yes, repeated offenders are treated more harshly). In minor offences you usually get a written warning first, in more severe cases you might get kicked or even banned immediately.
If you ever get kicked, consider that a serious warning - you are obviously doing something wrong. If you are unsure what it is, re-read these rules and/or ask the admin in question what the kick was for in a civilized manner. If you're a hot-headed type, perhaps take a few minutes to cool off before going back to shout at the admin. Same goes for all interaction with the admins, act properly and you will most likely be received better.

Pretty much any time I see the pink text I type "Admin Abuse" in the server, and I know that other people do as well...we typically aren't being serious. I haven't done it lately, but I used to always type it after I killed GranPappy too

While we will sometimes name names in pink text in order to be very specific, personal warnings on embossed stationary are not a pre-kick requirement. When you see a general warning issued, check to be certain that you are not performing that activity. It is not standard, nor functional, to issue personal warnings to all 90 players on a server. If one person has been warned for an activity, you may assume that the warning also applies to you.

Just banned me from strat battle, I was one tick from level to get 15 STR to use the armor, I explained in admin chat, and on my application I provided stats, don't see how I did anything wrong: at the time he banned me there were 3 guys leeching by standing afk in the castle (one was Internet_Explorer, didn't see names of others), but better to pick on the person who was actively getting everyone XP by fighting and killing. Good job, one less person spawning, less XP for everyone involved, definitly the right call.

I was 70k from 15 STR. If he had let me stay THREE MINUTES I would have been helping grind XP, as it was when he started kicking me I had a positive KDR. All he did by banning me was reduce the overall XP earned for everyone. I dont really mind. But yeah, telling me to go NA1 and get 70k xp is fookin retarded when battle is only gonna be 35 minutes.
As for wasting tickets: kicking me then banning me wasted 2 tickets. I wasted none. Even when I wasnt wearing the plate body armor I had all other slots full when spawning.
Wasn't trying to leech anything, was just trying to fight and get the xp legitimatly. I wasn't trying to cheat anyone and 3 minutes (yes that how long a tick is I'm informed in strat, I dont know personally I have never timed it, too busy fighting) of no body armor wasnt going to affect the xp in any meaningful way.
But, well, von krems have an admin now, so I guess anyone these days is judged able.

In order to gain entry to this truly amazing battle, you meet a few requirements:
1. Have 15 strength and show your stats in the application. In order to wear all the armor and use all the weapons, you must have 15 strength. If you don't wear the armor or use the weapons, you will be literally taking experience out of the mouths of all of our children's' mouths.
2. You must be willing to follow the rules. The rules I have made are in place in order to make sure the battle finishes in a decent amount of time, everyone has fun and we all get good experience.
3. You must apply to both sides. This is important, because we want to have a good time and play with different groups of people which we don't normally get to during "normal" Strategus.
4. In your application, please put "I have read the rules and I want to take part in this battle. I am agreeing to get kicked if I fail to follow the rules at anytime and risk being banned from future events." There will be admins present and ready to enforce the rules.

Well since every cash check I was supposed to receive for performing the admin tasks for this mod has failed to arrive, I've just played the game as compensation instead. If you want to go ahead and resolve that issue, I'll be happy to sit in spectate. Also, since I can do it from home, I'll be happy to take a pay cut from my ordinary salary if you go ahead and pay it in one lump sum of 100k annually. :lol:

No, most game admins are volunteers. They sit and help players for hours at a time, because it gives them an "in" to the company/industry. I've done it, so have many others, that is what being an administrator is.

What you did do was try and take advantage of Murdertrons generosity and leech xp off of his battle even though you knew you did not meet the requirements before applying. They didn't ban you for leeching, they banned you for subverting the commanders stated rules, rules that you agreed to when you put your application in.

It was 50-60 players around 12am. Three hours later it was 20-30 people because it was three o'clock in the morning...

I'm going to present to you some FACTS about situations and how Elderly/Desire/Nightingale handle them.
Background: All this started on or about when Strat 6 began. Gobblins as a whole would talk shit in NA1 and I happen to be one of the few that would talk shit back and kill them at ease I might add and also PM me talking shit. All well and good. Then a few Strat battles happen, Pars and I defended a village and that is when the ban threads begin to happen. All from Gobblins with questionable screenshots and/or proof. There was no problem banning me and I did my time. No problem. Then Gobblins would TW and even TK me. I screenshot and recorded the incident. It should be a cut and clear case correct? Wrong.

As you can see, I have a SS of me being TW and then TK, so in fact TWO STRIKES. So Elderly/Desire/Nightingale will turn around and say that I TW the offender and I did ONCE as you can see in my screenshot. It was purely accidental and only ONCE (again screenshot), does it warrant a TW and TK? I didn't get a response to my thread so I PM Elderly/Desire/Nightingale asking for him to look into it.
Elderly/Desire/Nightingale responses over PM referencing the ban thread I posted (look above for link): "I was replying to them in the morning and I had to leave or I'd be late. Didn't over look anything just went top towards bottom." (When Nightingale banned JayJrod but didn't look into mine), "I typically do ban threads in the morning before I go. Will take a look at yours tomorrow if its not yet resolved"., and finally when I asked about the racial slur that the team killer use as a provocation "The Racial slur was a proxy word which we aren't allowed to enforce anything on unless it gets out of hand hence why Schoi can run around and spam "Nikgur" etc.' The teamkill is questionable as idk the full situation to believe him or you would be wrong. Without logs as proof to validate either side. " BTW he never looked into it.

This is when a few interesting things were typed by Elderly/Desire/Nightingale that directly contradict what she told me earlier over PM.

Response to the Gobblin: I didn't even know impersonating was a rule. Is it written somewhere? I have seen countless impersonations to include JayJrod, Sauce, Roh, ETC and within the rules, with similar name without any trolling. Just dressing up like them and playing the game. Did you ban thread or complain to and admin about it? Was he impersonating you in an attempt to get your real character banned? Those are basically the only two reasons someone would get in trouble for impersonation, and in the case of Archy Legoooos both were the case, though the latter perhaps unintentionally.

@ Asheram : Had you complained about it; Schoi would have been forced to change his name, otherwise we have no way of knowing impersonation is occurring. There are quite a few instances where there is impersonation with the original player's consent meaning in some cases its allowed and the only way admins know if its bothering you or not is for you to speak up about it. Even if just privately in a PM. Which is always the option.

You all have to realize if this is truly the nail in the coffin for NA cRPG; that it was truly dead a long time ago. Allowing people to break rules is never the answer even if they are the "last 20 people." Smoothrich shouldn't be muted.
Sure but there are other admins that would have handled this better, banning half the server for a month is just overkill, there are some people who actually want to play the game, not just run around on a naked peasant with a stick leeching and banning people.
Desire lowered the banned to 2 days on the conditions that they receive harsher punishments if they do it again.

He is a loose cannon, way too ban-happy, leeches on the NA server when he does play and has no problem brocoding but never holds back at the opportunity to ban on sight rather then dish out a reasonable punishment, not the kind of admin we need right now.
Alot of people probably won't be back because of this, personally I don't play strat and was not there when this happened, but I have heard/known about Desire's powerhappy streaks for a long time and have always been against people like this having admin powers. Now we have 3 guilds who will not play anymore because of this when there just could have been a mass mute. The servers will be empty because he really had to dish out the severest punishment just to prove a point, even though it was reverted everyone knows it wasn't because he wanted to, he could care less if the whole server is banned and noone is playing.

If people won't be back because they were banned for breaking the rules, then I don't see the problem with that. The rules are set in place for a reason, it's to make crpg a better place. You can say that people should man up and deal with it all you want, but being nasty and racist online just makes it a worse place in general. I don't think the chat rules are put in place because some people are incapable of handling what people will say over the internet. It's because banning that sort of behavior makes c-RPG a better place in general. We can allow people who spout racism and insults telling people to kill themselves, or we can mute and ban them to make the place better in general.
I don't know if desire muted and then quickly escalated to bans, but it's obvious that people weren't getting the message if there are twenty people banned. People don't learn from mutes, this is obvious since when someone is muted, almost always someone else takes up the mantle. This is what happened and is why people got banned. The initial mute or ban (I don't know which) was a warning, the other people ignored the warning and so were punished more severely. The only problem I have with the ban itself is the length, but desire said in the unban thread herself that it was a temporary measure.

As for Desire being a loose cannon, I don't know where you heard that, but I've seen different. It's rare for me to see Desire ban someone unless their are breaking the rules, and if they are it's usually a veteran player who already knows the rules. In fact it's usually repeat offenders who break the rules in my experience, big shocker there. Whats even more shocking is people dislike Desire for being an active admin, we all know how much the community loves admin who uphold the rules. So with that sarcasm aside, I doubt who ever told you Desire was a loose cannon was painting an accurate picture. The most curious thing you complained about is Desire's apparent leeching. Leeching isn't spawning in with cloth weapons and a stick, if spawning in with shitty equipment was leeching, Arys, FrugFrug, FarmBob and many other peasant players of different notoriety would be considered leechers as well. As for brocoding, I would say I rarely see Desire brocode, but maybe she picked up new habits since my playtime has died down.
Finally I will say that the two other admins involved are Dr. Device and Artyem. Artyem being one of the players involved probably shouldn't be one of the decision makers for the ban because of that and Dr. Device wasn't there so I don't know if he can throw his weight in without knowing the details. The only input he offered against the bans is that it should be allowed because of the number of players involved. Which I'd agree isn't a good reason to not ban people because it encourages trolls and chat abuse which I believe hurts the mod even more in the long run. I think the worst part is that most to all of the people banned are veteran players who should know better, but they decided to break the rules anyway because they believed they knew better than the admins or any one else. That is the kind of behavior that kills a mod. Ok my rant is done.

When I try to appeal my 1 week ban, I got a backlash from hell and was told to take it from some of these same people crying about a 2 day ban. The way I see is 2 day ban is not QQ worthy shit, take it and stfu and any admins caught in the ban should lose admins privileges ASAP. They are suppose to know better than even the veterans. Mutes would in fact have solved the situation, a player literally cannot type "friend" in chat if they are muted. If they evade the mute than a short ban to punish that would have also sufficed. The situation escalated because you decided to increase the severity of the punishment without the actual committed offense also increasing in severity.
Increasing the severity of a punishment in the case of multiple consecutive offenses from independent individuals based solely upon the order in which they participated in the offense is asinine. It's a philosophy that is totally counter to the retributive justice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retributive_justice) system that is common place in American society. Mutes absolutely would have been the better option and the fact that you are incapable of admitting any fault is mind boggling to me.

Please forgive me, my real life conflicts with my cRPG duties. I now know that I cannot leave the server, and must abandon my real life in order to better admin these servers. And I've thought it over, I can't live without crpg in my life, nor can I give up my adminship. Forgive my hideous transgression, I solemnly promise that henceforth cRPG will become my only life.
Situation was going on for a while. Obvious it wasn't being taken care of. Which admins were trying mute anyone or control the situation? The ones spouting racist comments or the ones that weren't even there?
Like I said, they are all unfit. When something doesn't work, tear it down and start over.

I've been playing a while now and I've never seen anything as ridiculous as a 19 player ban that included a head admin. What is the point of a hierarchy if you have admins like this? I don't see a reason for any other admins to step down because I don't see them mass banning and destroying the community. This would be the equivalent of firing live ammo into a crowd of mental retards and then shooting the police who wanted to use rubber bullets.
When you have one rogue admin who thinks they are above the rest you have a problem, the rest of the admins seem to consult and work together for the better of the community, with a rogue admin it undermines all their work and patience, and i'm sure it takes alot of patience with a community like this.
EU is a much more respectable community than the NA proportion. Not to mention their head admin wouldn't break the rules either.I don't know who do you mean by "their head admin", but Uther (a recently appointed global admin) is quite salty guy when it comes to his non-dtv game playing experience. Just like all of us he is a human and not the fucking bot, and if he can't resist to say something like "mindless spamming retard", "fuck off ranged gay", etc, still there's nobody comes to mind to report him. But yes, he's crossing the rules of "No abuse of in-game chat (racism, insulting, griefing, spamming...)" formally. Yet he is one of the finest guys around and certainly the best admin in my opinion (I say that based on his ban section replays and judgments, not because I love him being naughty). Secondly, we know each other well, and if he say it to me or to the other friends of him who know that it wasn't mean to offend but rather to have fun with chatting each other, its not the same as if he would say it to a newcoming peasant, just like you should've been able to differentiate between deliberate and targeted racial insults from people saying one fucking word just to troll you.
Using your own analogy, some of those same special handicap people are the the police as well. The admins in the ban are much at fault as everyone else involved. I agree with a lot of your points but you fall short. Go one step further and that is where I stand. Admins should know better wouldn't you say? None of them are fit to admin. Get rid of them all involved.
Like you said it takes ALOT to get rid of an admin if it's even possible at all, here you have an admin that is impeding other admins from doing their job and is directly destroying the population of the server. Not even other admins like him. If getting rid of Desire solves the problem then we are fine, If problems persist more change would be welcome.
I don't think anyone agrees with the behavior of the community, but he also antagonized them in admin chat and undermined other admins who were trying to mass mute for the good of the server, not to prove a point by using excessive admin powers given the situation, because after all it's a game, a multiplayer game that needs players.

Admins should be held to a higher standard, that is why they are admins in he first place. The foresight and maturity to make sound judgements. In my eyes, none of them are fit. Of Desire goes, so should the other admins involved.
And here we have the standards without a brain and common sense. If we had a bot dishing out automatic bans for every time someone broke a rule every server would be completely empty. We need admins with common sense who know it's not worth it to mass ban the entire server population over a stupid trolling incident, which Desire admitted he wanted to do and reluctantly shortened the bans. He even admits he doesn't care if the mod dies because it will die to his standard. Clearly he didn't even try to mute players, lied about it being too difficult and banned another admin ( the head admin) who was willing to go through the extra effort of muting everyone for the sake of having fun at a strat battle.
For reference, Arytem banned me in under 10 minutes of a ban thread being post. Hard to digest that the admins involved were de-escalating anything. Warning were issued, time went on and those admins still chose to break the rules. No one forced them. They made a conscious decision.

1+ month later and you're still salty over a 1 week ban over something that has resulted in perma bans in the past.

Your definition of a sensible admin is somewhat faulty it appears as it was part of his judgement to violate the rules himself. I wouldn't want any admin like that in any game I played. Would you?
Thank god this wasn't a GK server because they would have just perma-banned everyone; like they always do and if you get banned you have to talk to a GK rep kinda like an unban essay. Not to worry though this is cRPG where admins are spineless and even breaking the rules is a common factor in admin protocol. Such a great place to be part of.
