Just started playing this game, was also about to quit in the beginning but i kept going and learned the basics pretty fast with the help of a friend. Enjoying it alot, got invaded by monkeys twice, but i showed them who's boss. Going to start building higher walls and attempt to make my fortress into a real fortress/castle. My dwarves keep popping out children and my cattle keeps starving to death, great fun. My dwarves survived without beer for weeks in the start, had no idea how to make a Still, but eventually i figured out and fortunately none of them went berserk or starved to death..
