I truly am happy about the fact that animals kill you when you are unconscious - for the second time, it stopped me from something that has started to rapidly turn into a life-sucking addiction. (I now remembered why I rage-quit World 6)

Seriously, the game is so great, and the grief factor of the game is great fun, but animals killing you is like getting trolled by an AI. You literally get punished for exploring.

Tell me when that feature is removed, I'll play it again then :)

But that is actually common sense. Should be somewhere in the "Terms and Conditions" afaik when buying from taleworlds.com.

Stuff like this is never common sense. It only and solely depends on terms and conditions, and if those do not exist, it depends on the law of the country of the customer. Both are far from common sense :D

It is indeed forbidden to gain money with warband, crpg devs wouldnt do it but alone the fact to tolerate it, is a rule violation.

Do you have facts to back that statement?

There is something off with this. I somehow feel it's too simple for an april fools' day prank. The last one was complex and properly faked, this one is just text. Putting up a text like this - chadz knew exactly no one would fall for it.

He either lost his way of trolling, or elevated it to an entirely new level.

So I was wondering, do chadz and other devs that are in your clan, actively participate in strat?

I'm interested in this as well. It's understandable that the devs want to play their own game, but we do have to consider that they have full access to every possible way of cheating. I wouldn't be surprised if Nord would be the first to conquer a village, castle, or even a town.

I really think we should find a solution where devs are not at all participating in strategus. I'm thinking maybe we can find some similar game with a similar problem and do some kind of dev exchange. So our devs can play their game, and their devs can play for Nord. I really think both sides would profit from this, and it would help giving the players trust in the cheat-free-environment of the game.

It's just that having studied history in college these kinds of things tend to bother me more than the average gamer I guess.

The steal work on these helmets is much too advanced to be in the same period as medieval knights in plate armor.

Must have been one hell of an education. Public college?

nerf castles, their movement speed is too high.

I would even go as far as saying that a castle should NEVER outrun a person. Ever. Period.

You was right. But you keep wasting my time.

Please tell me why do we need grinding? Why not just start with level 31? Seriously!

You are assuming level 31 is the goal of the game. It is not. The goal is to have fun, and to have your own character to develop. Getting to level 31 and retiring is the donkey's carrot for the grinders who need a sense of achievement.

Don't forget that there was a steam sale during the holidays / right before the patch. Lots of new players just giving it a try, and many leaving after some days, that's inevitable.

Player base looks stable to me.

will there be whore houses?
if not, can I build them?
if so, can I visit them?
are STDs something to worry about? (would allow more complex strategies, early biological warfare...)

Wil there still only be 1 troop type or will there be multiple to limit the massive archer spam?

considering how the dev team thought it was a good idea to nerf archery close to useless, I doubt that will be a problem...
