I really wish the Thalmor were more exploited. In base skyrim they are just a few high elves wandering around like they were kicked out of a trendy disco.
There's a whopping total of one quest in which you can be on their side :
In markarth palace, the guy asks you to break into a house to find evidence of talos workship.
And that sucks. It would be awesome if the thalmor were another faction/guild.
Try HiAlgo for a FPS boost and RCRN :)
Also I definetly prefer ACE over SkyRe.
Wow! HiAlgo is amazing! (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15123) Thanks a bunch, Kafein! I wouldn't be able to play with all the mods I use (especially in exteriors) if it weren't for it.
There's a new climate/terrain/fauna overhaul - Tropical Skyrim -- A Climate Overhaul - I've tried it but I kinda like snowy Skyrim more. Give it a try if you're tired of the vanilla country (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33017).

Always remember to use BOSS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6) (and NMM of course (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager/)) to have it sort your mods load order, although sometimes you might have to make little changes yourself (or some mods might still not be recognised by it). If you're having problems deciding a load order, check this out: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/906023-aops-dangerous-file-list/ (second post). You might also have to use Wrye Bash (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840) if you use many mods that edit levelled lists.
Edit: I've had to stop using SkyTweak's stagger system because I was getting CTD's very often and I found it to be the culprit. I will use Deadly Combat (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5485/?) again instead. Actually, it was ASIS Increased Spawns and especially Random Spawns that caused the crashes. No reason not to use SkyTweak. Best mod ever!
Alright, after a lot of new games trying different combinations of mods, I've finally found my favourite (thank God, because, even though I tend to screw up my game progress to start over, it gets tiresome xD). Deadly Mutilation is the shit - Chivalry-like mutilations with no script-lag at all; very impressive. The only problem is it doesn't work with custom armors, so, instead of using Immersive Armors like always, I've downloaded Book of Silence, a very nice re-texture of vanilla armours Laufknoten already mentioned.
Here's the mod list and the load order, in case it interests anyone:
A Quality World Map - With Roads (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4929/?) - with Clear Add-on.
ACE - Combat Skills (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10037/?) - just BYOG.
Alternate Start - Live Another Life (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557/?).
aMidianBorn Book of Silence (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24909/?).
ASIS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18436/?) - Increased Spawns, Automatic Perks (download this guide for SkyRe (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33995/?) and search ASIS in it) and Random Spawns.
Attack Cancel (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30814/?).
Auto Unequip Ammo (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10753/?).
Balbor and Steelsouls SkyRe ReProccer Project (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27092/?) - install this after installing Uncapper (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175/?) and Skyre (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286/?) and running BOSS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?) and Reproccer (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28467/?).
Bandolier - Bags and Pouches (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16438/?).
Better Dialogue Controls (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27371/?).
Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships - Overhauled (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15508/?).
BLEED - A Blood Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35318/?).
Bring Out Your Dead (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14178/?).
Categorized Favorites Menu (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4862/?).
Categorized Favorites Menu Config - Skyrim Redone (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25251/?) - install after the previous.
Convenient Horses (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14950/?).
Deadly Dragons (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3829/?) - apart from tweaking dragons, you can change the cooldown for cell reset (also available with SkyTweak (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33395/?)).
Deadly Mutilation - dismemberment blood and gore (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34917/?) - read the instructions carefully. If you use Realistic Ragdolls and Force (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/601/?), download the skeletons compatibility patch.
Dragon Combat Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32597/?) - dragons will be a totally different story.
Extensible Follower Framework (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12933/?) - much better and more stable than UFO (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14037/?).
D13 Faster GET UP STAND UP animation vanilla friendly (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17491/?).
Faster Mining (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9465/?).
Follower Trap Safety (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11609/?) - use the scripts-only version if you plan on using Extensible Follower Framework (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12933/?).
Footprints (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22745/?).
Footsteps Sound Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35467/?).
Glowing Ore Veins 300 (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/193/?).
Guard Dialogue Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23390/?) - with SkyRe compatibility patch.
Guards guard the player from thugs (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10522/?) - absurd that Bethesda didn't do this.
Harvest Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16553/?).
Immersive Animations (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34950//?) - the two main modules, strafe, greatsword sprint and rogue stab. For the other modules, you need XP32 Skeleton (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26800/?), FNIS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11811/?) and Dual Sheath Redux (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34155/?), but they didn't work for me with Deadly Mutilation (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34917/?).
Immersive HUD - iHUD (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3222/?).
Immersive Patrols (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12977/?) - best stable substitute for WARZONES (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9494/?). If you set a very low CD for cell reset, you will see the battles more often.
Immersive Weapons (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27644/?).
Increased Bounty and Guild Rewards (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24758/?).
Monster Mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35631/?) - I use the immersive version (don't like those triceratops).
No Boring Sleep-Wait Menu (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12625/?).
No heavy muscular walk and idle (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/213//?).
No More Blocky Faces (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30/?).
No More Glowing Edges Mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34981/?).
No NPC Greetings (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/746/?) - Reduced version (SkyTweak (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33395/?) lets you do the same though).
No Skill Limit (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22800/?) - removes the 100 skill level cap for NPC's.
No Spinning Death Animation (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17214/?) - removes that shit of an animation and lets ragdolls work in peace.
Player Headtracking (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23600/?).
Point The Way (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33393/?).
Realistic Crime Radius (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8078/?).
Realistic Lighting Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30450//?) - I just use the main Major Interiors and the Vanilla Weathers patch (with custom installation). Default installation is for use with Climates of Tamriel (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17802/?).
Realistic Ragdolls and Force (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/601/?) - you should install this mod first since other mods, like Deadly Mutilation (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34917/?), have to overwrite some files.
ReProccer - Automated SkyRe patch generator (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28467/?) - install after installing Skyre (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286/?) and running BOSS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/?).
Roadsigns Redone (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33603/?).
Run For Your Lives (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23906/?).
Run Sprint and Jump (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34960/?).
SILENT Skyrim - Quieter Interface - No More UI Cartoon Noises (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30877/?).
Skills-based Damage and Magnitude Multipliers (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21828/?) - read the instructions carefully.
Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1175/?).
SkyTweak (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33395/?) - one of the best mods I've ever seen for Skyrim. It lets you change a whole lot of things no other mod could before. Just make sure you don't install it until you have your game saved with all the other mods loaded. The plugin AI Combat Style Editor is very good to enhance the AI.
SkyUI (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863/?) - not only is it the best interface mod, but it is required for all the other mods' MCM menus to work.
Smaller Kingthings Petrock fonts (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20773/?).
Sound Propagation Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33740/?).
SUM - SkyProc Unified Manager (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29865/?) - makes running SkyProc patchers like those of ASIS and Reproccer together and in order, and you can assign them more memory and globally disable BOSS running (it's better to run BOSS first, once you have installed all mods, and then use SUM with BOSS disabled in the options - otherwise it would mess up your load order if you had made any changes after BOSS the first time).

- When using MCM menus (menus some mods have in the "esc" menu -> mod configuration), it's best to tweak a mod, exit all menus, wait a couple of seconds and then proceed to tweaking the next mod. SkyTweak, however, requires up to 10 seconds both the first time the game loads it and, each and every time you tweak it, after exiting the menus in order for everything to kick in. I know it's a pain, but if you don't follow this, values will be reset. Oh!, and don't forget to save the game after your changes! :P
- Talking about saved games, auto-saves are a bad idea if you plan on installing and uninstalling mods throughout your game (like we all do). A lot of people recommend to disable them and always save games in new slots. Personally, I use quick-saves as well, because it would just be a pain in the arse not to.
- Bashed Patch, 0.esp is the bash patch made with Wrye Bash (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840/?). This is for compatibility within mods that edit levelled lists (distribute/change NPC's gear), but for the few mods I am using I don't think I would really need it. I have it just in case I add more mods later on. It won't hurt to have the bash patch.
- You should add these lines to ASIS.ini under [ModExclusions] so it won't affect these two mods (or other mods you wouldn't want Automatic Perks or Increased Spawns to affect and that the author of the mod hasn't excluded yet):
DragonCombatOverhaulDragonborn.esp
Immersive Weapons.esp - When installing AI Combat Style Editor of SkyTweak, it extracts all files, but, if you have both Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC's, you only have to use SkyAI.esp (delete the rest).
- DeadlyMutilation.esp must be placed under SkyRe_Races.esp or it won't work.
- SkyTweak.esp must be placed under DeadlyMutilation.esp or it won't work. If you don't use the second one, you can place it along SkyAI.esp.
- I don't use SkyRe's combat module or any other combat mod except Deadly Mutilation and SkyTweak's stagger system (scripts tab). The next spoiler shows my settings. I achieved a system similar to Deadly Combat's (all hits staggering), but with a much shorter stagger duration.
Check out Boost AMD Feel the Force also works for Corei (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22879//?)! It might help you.
Skyrim Stability Guide (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/?) and Speed and Stability Guide for ENB (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/?) are new very helpful guides.
Natural Lighting and Atmospherics for ENB (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50065/?) looks really good, to be used with latest ENB version and without RLO/ELFX and/or CoT. Edit: I have tried it and didn't like it much.
I'm going to try Phinix Natural ENB (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24235/?) instead, which is more similar to vanilla. Edit: wow! This is the best ENB I have ever seen. I love it.
SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editor (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?) is incredible. Coupled with Phinix ENB, which works with latest 0.246 (and already includes ENBoost (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/?)'s tweaks), I haven't had a single CTD, unlike at the beginnings of Skyrim. Note: if you were already using Safety Load (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/?), uninstall it, since they aren't compatible, and SSME is much better.
Always run LOOT (http://loot.github.io/) after you have installed all your mods (or after installing a new mod mid-save to position it correctly in the load order). LOOT is the new beta version of BOSS, and it works like a charm, without the need of BUM or anything else. Run it and everything is sorted!
If you install more than one mod that alters levelled lists (what "respawnable" NPC's carry, like bandits), then you must (re)build "Bashed Patch, 0.esp" with Wrye Bash (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/?).
Remember to install SKSE (http://skse.silverlock.org/), as most mods will require it - you will always have to run the game with "skseloader.exe" for it to work. You should also add this:
[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1
to SKSE.ini in C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE (if you don't have it, create a new .txt and rename it to SKSE.ini) so it can help avoid corrupted saved games if you uninstall scripted mods.
If you plan on using HQ texture mods, you should use Optimizer Textures (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?) once you have installed everything - I use "maximum profile" and resize if bigger than 2048.
If you have to uninstall scripted mods throughout a game, use Savegame script scalpel (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53045/?) to clean the saved game of orphan scripts. Load the saved game, let it analyze until it says "analysis complete", then click on "Remove unattached instances", until it says "removed x number of instances" (bottom-right), then click on "Remove instances", tick "Remove instances with undefined classes only", then remove. Close the program, then go to your saves folder (my documents), move those last saves you edited (not the ones that start with EDIT) to your desktop (for example) then copy their name (without file extension) and paste it in the new EDIT files in saves folder (renaming them like the originals).
Ultimate Combat (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36006/?) has been updated and now features speed bonus! I haven't tested it yet, but I hope it really works. Duke Patrick's already featured that among too many other things, but now, with this little mod (compared to DP), coupled with Deadly Combat (for the stagger system), combat could finally be decent.
Extended Encounters (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50376/?) is a new interesting encounters mod that will give every NPC more life.
EWIs True Weaponry of Viscounts and Sirrahs (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51032/?) adds some nice swords.
JackoOs Knightly Armory (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20618/?) adds armours inspired by Gothic 2.
No snow under the roof (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51188/?) is a very cool aesthetics mod.
