Monster Mod is back in the Nexus! And Monster Wars adds the Blue Stripes faction (from the Witcher 2) that protects the cities and villages. Check them out! I use the immersive versions and they are a very good addition to the game.

SkyTweak lets you change a whole lot of game settings and is compatible with everything, so give it a try. It's one of the best mods ever made for Skyrim. Also check out the optional download SkyAI (Skyrim AI Editor). It lets you improve the enemy AI much more than any other mod.

Immersive Animations replaces many animations with much better ones. Complement it with Run Sprint and Jump and No heavy muscular walk and idle for a more natural feel of animations. Note: if you plan on using the first mod with Duke Patrick, make sure NMM doesn't overwrite DP's files.

Run For Your Lives makes civilians seek shelter during dragon attacks. When Vampires Attack does the same for vampire attacks.

Deadly Mutilation - dismemberment blood and gore is what the game always needed. No script lag, instant gore never seen before (similar to Chivalry's). Note: it doesn't work with custom armours like Immersive Armors, so you could consider aMidianBorn Book of Silence instead. BLEED - A Blood Overhaul is similar to Enhanced Blood Textures and Crimson Tide Blood but more stable.

Auto Dual Wield saves your dual-wield choice of weapons so, every time you switch to spells and then press your main weapon hotkey, you will also wield the weapon you chose for your left hand.

Edit: I've had to stop using SkyTweak's stagger system because I was getting CTD's very often and I found it to be the culprit. I will use Deadly Combat again instead. Actually, it was ASIS Increased Spawns and especially Random Spawns that caused the crashes. No reason not to use SkyTweak. Best mod ever!

Alright, after a lot of new games trying different combinations of mods, I've finally found my favourite (thank God, because, even though I tend to screw up my game progress to start over, it gets tiresome xD). Deadly Mutilation is the shit - Chivalry-like mutilations with no script-lag at all; very impressive. The only problem is it doesn't work with custom armors, so, instead of using Immersive Armors like always, I've downloaded Book of Silence, a very nice re-texture of vanilla armours Laufknoten already mentioned.

Here's the mod list and the load order, in case it interests anyone:

Check out Boost AMD Feel the Force also works for Corei! It might help you.

Deadly combat trumps over all other combat mods IMO. The stagger effects makes blocking worthwhile, and that's pretty much all that was really needed to get nice combat.

Can't agree more. Try Deadly Mutilation, you won't regret it.

Glad to see someone is enjoying Skyrim a lot! I frankly was let down by Skyrim, my expectations were probably set a little too high. Don't get me wrong I played it all the way through and did a lot of side quest but it was very stale and short for me. The quest were not nearly as long compared to Oblivion's awesome quest. Also the repetitive dragon fights, dungeons, and dragur wore on me.

I think Oblivion and Fallout 3 were the best games made by Bethesda, Morrowind is good but I can't get over the no waypoint thing.

Waypoints completely ruin immersion. In Morrowind there are Silt Striders and later in the game when you're powerful enough and have lots of spells, you don't need anything other than teleport or levitation.

Guys do you know of any mod that makes it like oblivion stamina wise?

I mean even normal attacks costing stamina.

(Trying to make the game "harder" and copying some features of dark souls in the game)

I had the same issue with the Oblivion gates.

Deadly Combat is a very simple combat mod that does what you ask for and other things, like all hits interrupting/staggering, locational damage and timed blocking.

Duke Patrick - Heavy Archery and Weapons Combat is a much more complex mod that also changes perks (incompatible with SkyRe, ACE, SPERG, etc.) and features momentum (speed bonus), attack-blocking (chamber-blocking), timed blocking and a very complex strength-force system that makes dragons send you flying backwards if you get hit or block, for example. If you ask me, it's the best combat mod. You just have to follow the instructions in the readme carefully, do the necessary INI tweaks and also check this out - I've noticed a big improvement in performance and script lag: Boost AMD Feel the Force also works for Corei.

Also SkyTweak lets you tweak so many things in the game no other mod has done before, like blocking stamina cost, blocking damage soak, etc., and it also features a customisable stagger system which works wonders with Duke Patrick.

There's a new combat mod - Ultimate Combat - very similar to Deadly Combat but a little different. I still like DC more, and DP+SkyTweak even more.

Oh, and another thing: Wrye Bash is much better and faster than NMM to install/uninstall mods. It is said NMM can fail at uninstalling a mod completely sometimes and the only problem about WB is that some installers aren't compatible, so, for example, I have to install Deadly Mutilation and High Level Enemies with NMM.

I had the same issue with the Oblivion gates.

This is the reason I ended up hating Oblivion, and loving Gothic 3, back in the days.

I am using realistic combat mod atm but duke patrick mod adds too much stuff I don't care about but will check deadly combat mod.

I also editted the stamina regen rate so it goes up fast like in dark souls that's why I want normal hits to cost stamina :P

The author of SkyTweak has released his alchemy overhaul inspired by The Witcher: Vile Concoctions. It's really good and completely different from any other perk overhaul.

Inconsequential NPCs is a nice little mod that complements Interesting NPCs very well.

Woah that sounds awesome... any recommendations which other mods to add?
