Try HiAlgo for a FPS boost and RCRN :)

Also I definetly prefer ACE over SkyRe.
Wow! HiAlgo is amazing! (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15123) Thanks a bunch, Kafein! I wouldn't be able to play with all the mods I use (especially in exteriors) if it weren't for it.

There's a new climate/terrain/fauna overhaul - Tropical Skyrim -- A Climate Overhaul - I've tried it but I kinda like snowy Skyrim more. Give it a try if you're tired of the vanilla country (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33017).

This is my favourite setup with SkyRe:

Always remember to use BOSS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6) (and NMM of course (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager/)) to have it sort your mods load order, although sometimes you might have to make little changes yourself (or some mods might still not be recognised by it). If you're having problems deciding a load order, check this out: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/906023-aops-dangerous-file-list/ (second post). You might also have to use Wrye Bash (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840) if you use many mods that edit levelled lists.

I was looking for something like this for a long time but i´m not sure if my pc can handle this :/

So i´ll just go ahead and post my pc "stats" .

Quad cpu 2.66 ghz

Graphic card is Nvidia GeForce GTX 260

I just don´t want to install all these gorgeus mods only to realize that my pc can´t handle them at all .

Please give me some feedback  :D

I think you should be fine to play it with low-medium graphical settings (I've read that the game can only make use of 4Gb of RAM max) and remember to try out the mod Kafein mentioned (HIALGOBOOST) in case you run into crashes - it really got rid of all crashes for me. There are other mods that help with framerate, but I haven't tried them all. The only problems for this game are mods that add HQ textures, models, etc., lots of NPC's (especially outdoors) and, if they involve a lot of scripts, even worse. WARZONES is a good example - it used to be great, but it's very old and it's the only mod that slows my game down a lot lately. Immersive Patrols is a nice up-to-date alternative.

By the way, lads, the newest patch of Skyrim is already live. I haven't downloaded it yet until I see that most of the mods I use are compatible/updated, but the changelog is really interesting. A cool feature I read is that you can now "retire" skills that have reached level 100 to keep levelling up! (and hopefully get looms in the future )

By the way, a couple more mods I've found a little late. I haven't tried them yet, but they look promising:

Hmm?

That sounds cool. So the level cap won't be 81 anymore?

So if i would have a better processor i would be able to play it on high resolution?

Anyway thanks for the feedback now i just have to buy all these Dlc´s that are out by now..

I haven´t touched skyrim for a long time :D

Just check the minimum system requirements and compare them with your rig. :P

By the way, Dawnguard is quite nice (vampires, vampire-hunters, quest-line, new armours and crossbows), Hearthfire, though, is quite useless (or so they say - it just lets you build your own home, while this can be done with some mods instead), and Dragonborn is said to be very nice as well, although I haven't tried it yet.

Deadly Combat or Duel - Combat Realism? Which is better in your opinion?

Both feel very clunky IMO. They try to add layers of complexity without really fixing the problems.

Duel just enhances vanilla combat system and improves AI with teamwork.

Deadly Combat (customisable via in-game spell) makes every hit stagger/interrupt, has timed blocking (but buggy for me) and improves "individual" AI.

I like DC because of the stagger. It's how it should have been - like in all other games, including Warband. If you start swinging your greatsword and the enemy hits you with a 1h sword first, you are interrupted. By the way, you can use both together: I load DC last (so DC features have preference) and without DuelPlayerProc.pex (as stated by LogRaam) and both AI enhancements fit together nicely. But, in my opinion, the best combination is ASIS + DC (with PISE patch loaded after ASIS.esp). By the way, you can now use ASIS' Automatic Perks and Spells (apart from AI) with SkyRe. Download this guide by T3nd0 (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33995) and search the document for "asis". There will be a list that you should add to [PERKEXLUSIONLIST] in AutomaticPerks.ini of ASIS (you have to do this before running the ASIS patcher).

There's also SkyRe's combat, which makes more drastic changes, but I haven't really tried it, because I just didn't like what I read in the description.

And then there's Duke Patricks - Archery And Heavy Weapons Combat. In theory, it's the best I have seen. Some interesting features are momentum (like speed bonus in Warband), weapon reach dependent on the actual model of the weapon and body size affecting strength. I tried it a couple of times, but I had to give up because:
  • Script lag was terrible - you hit someone in the face and he doesn't drop dead after 1 or 2 seconds later.
  • Every swing consumes too much stamina - for me it was impossible to play.
If you manage to get it work properly, I'd love to know how, because, despite that, it looks like the best combat overhaul.

Both feel very clunky IMO. They try to add layers of complexity without really fixing the problems.
Indeed. No matter what combat mod you use, the game will still have those annoying bugs (attack-block transition, cancelling attacks, sprint getting stuck after swinging, etc.).

By the way, I have been playing the Dragonborn DLC for some days now, and I have to say it's much more fun than Dawnguard. They have done a really good job with this DLC.

There's one mod I can't play without and that is Cabal's retexture of the vanilla armors. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24909
I mean just look at the retexture of the steel plate or the scaled armor, it just looks so much better. :D

Here's a screenshot of Climates of Tamriel (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17802) with Realistic Lighting Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30450) and Pure Waters (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1111) (which is much better than WATER REDUX and more stable). The first two mods are the best in my opinion, because, not only are they good, but they don't affect framerate as much as ENB's. In fact, RLO has bugfixing that makes the game a lot smoother in many areas.

By the way, I used to get CTD while quicksaving very often, and I think I found how to avoid it: don't press any keys until the game is saved and the game "unpauses". Ever since I started doing that, I haven't had any more crashes with F5 - I guess I used to start pressing "w" before the saving process was complete. And, if you use WARZONES and makes your game crash a lot like in my case, drop it and try Immersive Patrols.

Awesome mod, must-have, since it lets you improve each and every enemy type's AI in combat and - believe me - it had never been done like this so far: Skyrim AI Editor (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34767). It works with any mod - be it Duel, DC, ASIS, SkyRe, etc.

I also found this mod that changes ebony armour into something more realistic: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20369
This animation mod for dual-wield and shielder looks great (more realistic): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34950/
Mod that makes corpses solid, so you can't go through them: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30947
