Boba was also better than jango in the old bf2. It was a lot more satisfying shooting a burst rifle that could one-shot dudes than a single pew-pew pistol. Unfortunately both of their flamethrowers were a tad underwhelming as they had relatively low dps and took a whole clip to kill even your average footsoldier (not to mention a jedi could also block the flames with a lightsaber... cmon now). Really, any hero that wasn't a jedi was kinda underwhelming in that game, but I guess that's kinda how it should be anyways.

Mine are:
1. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Sega Dreamcast)
2. Tenchu 1 and 2 (stealth assassins for PS1)
3. Zelda (Link to the Past/Breath of the Wild for SNES/Switch)
4. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Xbox 360, the graphics fucking blew my mind when I first played it, then I couldn't stop RIP life for about a year and a half)
5. Fallout 4 (Maybe IDK on PS4)

So many to choose from and this list could change at any time. I love too many video games and realized that as I made the list. I could easily sub in Jak and Daxter series (PS2) anywhere in there, as well as Kingdom Hearts (PS2), Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) shamefully The Emperor's New Groove (PS1), Crash Bandicoot (PS1), Super Mario World (SNES), All the Super Star Wars (SNES), Super Street Fighter 2 (SNES), Bad Dudes (NES), Ninja Gaiden (NES), Super Mario Brothers 3 (NES), Skate or Die (NES), Contra (NES) Shinobi (Sega), Vector Man (Sega), Mortal Kombat 2 (Sega), Anything with the X-Men and women loved that shit (Sega),Shockwave series (3DO), Muhammed Ali Boxing (3DO), Star Fighter (3DO), plus all the games I've played so far for this gen I've enjoyed such as Recore (Xbox 1 S), Viking Squad (PS4), Battlefield 1 (PS4), etc..I could go on and on and on...

Fuck, uhhh... where to begin? Hopefully I don't forget too much.

• Crash Bandicoot (all 5 ps1 games)
• Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 (on ps2/pc... mods on pc breathe so much extra life into that game)
• Smash Bros Melee (the game came out in 2001 and I'm still playing it pseudo-competitively 16 years later)
• Lotr BFME 2 (best rts I've ever played)
• Chrono Trigger (potentially my favorite stand-alone game [chrono cross doesn't count as a sequel imo], and really the only jrpg I've enjoyed other than pokemon)

Honorable mentions (contenders for spots 4-5, depending on my mood when asked)

• Warband... sadly (can't really deny the fact that it belong up here, after all, we're discussing this on the crpg forums)
  
• Rocket League (such a wonderfully simplistic idea with perfect execution)
• Last of Us (greatest singleplayer story I've played through in modern times
• Half Life 2 (and episodes 1 &2... generally heralded as one of the best games of all time, and it's well-deserved praise)
• The OG Pokemon games (generations 1-3)
• Spyro the Dragon (games 1-3, all on ps1)
• Borderlands 1 & 2 + DLCs (but most just BL1)
• Basically any Naughty Dog franchise not already mentioned (Jak & Daxter, Uncharted)
• Almost any Mario game
• Almost any OG Sonic game
• Almost any 2D Metroid game (although the prime series ain't bad, just not contenders for best games ever)
• Almost anything else ever

Ah yes Last of Us. I can't believe I forgot about that and the original Resident Evil games 1 - 4 are all pretty solid. I also forgot about Spyro, played all those too! I even forgot the greatest dragon game I've ever played and that was Drakengard on PS2. SO many good games out there!

Drakengard was awesome. riding around on a dragon burning shit up. Nightmare Creatures was fun too and the original Tomb Raider games and Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.

Oh man Asheram I totally spaced on Metal Gear Solid 1. That game was fucking amazing. I remember getting the first level on a demo disk that you used to get with random shit and I played the fuck out of it until I could buy the game lol. Also, I'm glad someone else has played Drakengard! Calling your dragon whenever and laying waste to entire armies was amazing. I didn't realize, until I googled it yesterday, that they actually have made sequels to it that I've never played. I'm sure they're shit now but I can't say a part of me doesn't want to try them!

James, after seeing your list, we've played a lot of the same games and gears of war 2 is great. Used to play that with EarthDefenseForce(crpg player RIP) on xbox live. Also Modern Warfare 2 was a sweet game and how could I forget Red Dead Redemption.

I'm surprised no one has brought up Madden, tecmo Bowl, or NBA Jam to fill the sports void. (All great games).

Cassi, minecraft you say? Played that a lot with Horns. Nothing beats hiding an army of chickens underneath someone's house or in their walls.

Ah yeah Minecraft is great and I played a fair bit of NBA games around 2007-2008.

That one football game that was NFL blitz I think was hilarious. Literally killing people on the field.
