More info - I just got this on my pure strength alt characterter. I was level 27, 3/4 the way to next level. I was also top of the scoreboard for my team, but I wasn't doing anything when it happened, hitting a door and halfway through the chadzext pops up.

The random factor is the fact that this message isn't tied to anything whatsoever, and just randomly appears for no reason and with no effect.

I've had this text twice, first one after a retirement exactly at level 15, I had been wearing random equipment (non-default) up until then.
Second time half way through level 30, again wearing my default setup.

I neither feel nor see a difference, though perhaps it is so minuscule it goes unnoticed but I'd still place my bet on justme's guess.

I'd like to ask just one thing to all the people who got the "what is that" message. Did you get it with your main, or with an alt, or you hadn't choosed your main at that moment  ?
Cause if it's only with our main, and if we can't see it on cRPG, it's maybe because it's actually a minor buff for strategus. Like you will be able to craft that sort of equipment for less materials. And if you have enough "what is that" message on the same equipment, you might be able to craft an heirloomed version of it.
Thus the fact that clan will more benefit of having a person with a lot of "what is that" message.

If it's something for strategus, yeah I guess that Bulzur got it right. Also it can explain why the early data was corrupted: it wasn't yet tied with the main character thing.

Otherwise I feel that the decrease in wpf weight penality might be the runner up

recevied it before or after that:

bad news: the stuff we gathered so far was corrupted and had to be deleted.
good news: it's fixed with the patch, so any time you see the message from now on will stay permanently
another good news: we changed the occurance mechanic slightly

Also probably chadz simply cba to code something that recognize if your character is main or not, so the chadztext happens to everyone but only main characters actually involved with strategus gains something from that
