I know that the pictures for the shop have all been taken, they just need to be uploaded. The only problem is I do not think Dupre or anyone other than the original devs, i.e. Harald, have access to the website itself, so we would still need original dev assistance to get that done.There is a change implemented that will hopefully help reduce server lag by reducing the strain on the servers. This is unconfirmed of course, as the new patch has yet to be tested with a regular-sized population, but there is reason to believe that it will help things out a bit. At the very least it can't hurt (famous last words, I know). While this should help reduce any random lag spikes that people get regardless of their ping, I do not know if this will fix any high ping issues that some people are experiencing. The goal here is to improve hit detection, warping through people/objects, slight rubber-banding, etc... basically, all the issues that people have complained about since the more recent patches. For what it's worth I played on a test server running the new patch and even with 90 ping it felt far more responsive than usual with my 40-70 ping. That said, this was a separate test server, not the regular servers. Maybe the ones that are hosting crpg are just old, decrepit potatoes, and need to be upgraded. Can't say for sure if it was the new patch or the different server that made the performance that much better, but we can all hope it's the patch!

Ladders should be enabled on all game modes. We should be able to heirloom ladders. Each level will increase deployment speed and ladder HP. +1 = sturdy, +2 = reinforced, +3 = laddermaster's

Would also like to see wpf rework, with wpf cap and lot of wpf given to low WM. Would like to see that done to every skill, exponential falloff to keep crazy builds in check.
Frankly, I'm tired of trollish builds. With this low population at any given time third players run around with troll gear/build and to make things worse, they aren't that easy to dispatch.
Miss times when STR/PS was source of damage, not wpf and speed bonus. Miss times when you could kill archers with one swing. Also miss time when armor rating affected glances. Right now you can wear max armor and 3/42 troll with Staff will hit every time and deal a lot of damage. Same goes for other silly weapon such as sticks (way more effective against armored guys than my sword.)
I wear max full plate, all +3. And when trolls with stones deal a damage to me, that disappoints me. I hope it can be fixed anyhow. Even wooden stick or practice dagger makes a damage. I can understand that this is not about reallity game. But this weapons are the cheapest in the game.

Maybe because those Kremsies have a little more PS or PT and loomed gear too?Ofcourse they have. But my armor is 78 head, 76 body, 72 legs. Upkeep for this armor is 4086 gold. Sometimes I loose 20000 gold in a 30 min. And their upkeep is near 0 gold. Seems a little bit unfair)
remember stones and sticks have blunt damage. blunt is there to hurt people in tincans.Blunt damage and pierce one. But to do damage this stick must be iron, otherwise it will break (maybe we should add durability if possible). And stones must weight like big rocks to deal any damage, so I think the weight of stones must be not 1.5 kg all, but 1.5 kg each. Stones +3 - 19 blunt, IMO too much

some daggers and peasant weapons have always gotten +4 damage at +3 loom when max-tier gets +3.Club has +5 damage and become 28 blunt, well same as winged mace. And upkeep is 3 gold
An other reason why sticks and the like seem OP is that mainly very good players chose those bad weapons to get some extra exitement. so it's mostly not the weapon but the player holding it who is OP.

In patch 4.0.0 2d poles were still just 2d poles instead of 2d poles with a 4d secondary - it was patch 4.1.1 that allowed for polearms and 2h to be used on horseback - I'm pretty sure reverting back to patch 4.0.0 means that those changes are out.
Basically san's entire patch minus a few mute changes were thrown out.
We are still keeping all the item balance changes from 0.4.1.0 and 0.4.1.1. Constructive feedback on gameplay after the patch is implemented will be much appreciated.

Unless u wanna loose ur horse. And as long as there are 10+ enemies u can allways pick one whos not close to an archer... no idea what u guys flame about, rl a horse would get totally crazy after the first stone.

This new 2h stab is better in my opinion. As someone who doesn't play 2h very often I found it easy to learn and use the new stab.It is just bad.

This patch was made by a group of players both NA and EU. You should really focus less on which side of the ocean made the patch and instead hope and pray it is a success. If you really wanted to get onto EU for lack of contribution then you should at least do stuff yourself.
How were the 2d->4d weapons ridiculous? When i tried them they were awfully weak, it was nice though that they got some sort of use, because heavy 2d is horrid to play. And being able to use them on horseback, while still useless, it looked like great fun.
Stand toe-to-toe with someone, with your face right against theirs and try and stab the front of their throat with your 2hand sword. Get back to us with your scholarly findingswell it is possible

Yes, this is the attitude you need when a patch has been out for less than an hour. Productive.
There were a number of typos...it happens. If you don't want to wait for a hotfix and are willing to fix some of these bugs for your own clients I can help a little. (Just don't try to use the new exec sword or swordsman armor against other players until it's fixed in a hotfix.)
To fix the Executioner Sword and Swordsman Armor open module.ini and change:Code: [Select]Load_mod_resource = Executioner's_sword_Ray_tex
to

load_mod_resource = Raylin_brig
You may also want to delete the extra "load_mod_resource = Raylin_Helmets" but that probably won't harm anything.
To get the cuffs to show up for the leather gauntlets you'll need to have openbrf. Use it to open Raylin_Hands_Armors.brf in the resource folder and remove the extra underscores from all four cuff meshes. (ray_leather_gauntlet__Lx becomes ray_leather_gauntlet_Lx etc.--right click and rename)

There is one for each quality level. All you need to do is change the 2147553036 to 3852 for each of these entries.
Using either method, stab someone in the front of the throat whilst both hands are on the hilt of your 2h weapon, just make sure your toes are touching and your noses are practically touching. I'd still appreciate a diagram showing how with both hands on a hilt you can put an object of length '10X' in the front of a body that is only 'X' distance away from you.
So by 'stab' or 'thrust' from the front with a 2h weapon, what you really mean is stab from the side, possibly using only one hand (otherwise diagram please on how that works with both hands where the tip of the blade still reaches the person directly infront) and then try and twist the blade so that the end position is as if you'd run them through. Because you certainly cant put the point to someone's body if you have both hands on the hilt, and the sword is much longer than the gap between you.you can if other guy is 2m high.
Considering this conversation started because someone wanted to go all realism and explain why either the current or old animation made sense for point-blank stabbing and sound macho that they'd test this awesome technique on someone here, why is it that what you describe is completely and utterly different from either animation?

Proper way to fix low res UI is using the "Force hi-res" texture flag in OpenBrf.
Didn't see this. I have removed all the mipmap on textures instead. I take a look.
That works too, but it can make quality worse when scaling UI elements. "Force hi-res" basically ignores the texture quality setting for that texture, while keeping the advantages of having mipmaps.

Yeah, there are a few armors with the same issue. I think the creator didn't correctly line up the legs with the shoes from the knees down. As far as I know, the only shoes you can wear that perfectly fit that armor's skeleton are brown hose, serbian ankle boots, green/red hose with kneecops, and norman mail chausses. Unfortunately, none of these match with the swordsman armor very well.

why do they have to be different colors tho? Brown hose should really be called green and purple hose. Unless some previous patch changed their colors. I've not seen them in-game recently, only their icon on the site clearly shows a green/purple combo.

@SP1N I would recommend wearing brown hose with that armor since those are the shoes it's intended to be worn with. It's an unfortunate fact that some armors have slightly different skeletons that don't mesh with certain shoes.

i really wasnt expecting plated donkeys tbh...i was expecting xp\gold boast. it seems legit in game, u price C and the numbers match ( on a side note, holy fuck, pressing C is now dangerous to ur health, its so godamn bright now, almost blinding. )I don't know about gold but yeah the xp is off but I don't think its as bad as it used to be. I only lvled in game and not on website like once on Skillless(who I recently retired) where as it would be 2-3 times.But then again he is only lvl 32 atm so it might get worse at higher lvl.

So what causes parts of some armor to stretch out to the boundaries of the map? It doesn't always happen but when it does it is a huge eyesore. Seems to only happen with the Chinese and Mongol stuff.

Overpowered as in on par with other weapon classes? Why is the worst swing the balanced one, why should that crappy swing be the standard for balancing? It's horrible to use. Keep it or buff it, currently polearms are pretty even as far as animations go to other classes, but i dont think any class has such a crappy swing as pole leftswing. It does not fill any purpose but feint use.

I disagree on the polearm left swing. Imo it's a strong attack although you need to turn it a lot to hit early in the animation to make it fast. I use it all the time, partly because of a habit of using 2H left swing, partly because it's perfect for close quarter fighting and would be perfectly balanced if it wasn't for the extremely good right swing that does everything the left swing does and more.
The right swing might be on par with the 2H swings, but then again polearms are 30-50cm longer than 2H weapons. It never glances, always deals close to full damage no matter how you hit it and outreaches pretty much any attack from any other class. There are people that use almost no other attacks on a 4D weapon...

2h glances way less, and has more spam potential than polearm. Their reach is not much less than the average polearm. Would polearms lose right swing they would be a shorter 2h, with less damage and less spam. Basically poke polearm or no-go, and poking now is cancerous with nerfs, turnrates, lags and all that jazz.well normal polearm weapon have more or less range of greatsword, and there are a lot of longer weapons, polearms are way more versatile and can go well with all clases ingame(like seriously every clas ingame)
