I'm pretty sure the sentence wasn't that complicated, and people above 1.7m and 60kg would manage to say it easily enough as well, albeit with practice. I don't know how "uncontrollable situations" have anything to do with anything. You're always in position to shift weight away from your ankle, no matter the circumstances. I'm not sure what having to look up has to do with anything either, us normal people can control our feet without looking at them.

Confirmed that Xant is in fact the ultimate keyboard warrior who knows more about the real world than the people actually getting up and about and you know, doing these things. "Every time I've landed on my ankle I've been able to take my weight off it before any damage's been done." Rofl dude, getting up out of you desk chair doesn't count as a "landing" just because you weigh more than a dinosaur. We active people are talking about actual physical activity here; you know things like running around the great outdoors or playing full-contact sports where you will in fact, not have complete control over where your feet are planted 100% of the time, despite what your reddit and 4chan boards will try and tell you.

Can confirm. I've been 170+ cm 60+ kg, since 15 years old and never had an sprained ankle due to reflexes. But it also comes down to footwear. If you have a weak ankle and a thick sole you're in trouble, if you want to run in a forest or over rocks. Minimalist shoes might not give you ankle protection, but atleast they make your ankle stronger.
Wouldn't say that there is always a chance to shift weight Xant. When this happened to me, my other leg was still somewhere above the rest of my body, that's just poor coordination on my part, though. All I could do was brace and try to spread the force on impact, which I apparently did quite well, as I can hop around, on the hurt leg, today, without much pain.
If your other leg is in the air, or if you're falling on your ankle really badly, you can always just drop down on the ground in a push up position.

Yes, I know from whence I came! Discontented as a flame, Upon myself I live and glow. All I grasp like lightning flashes, All I leave behind is ashes

Which I did you moron, but guess what, the other leg didn't catch up, so I swung like a pendulum and landed on only one of my feet, twisting it in the process, because I don't know, it was actually better than breaking my bones?

What? How can you land on one of your feet if you're trying to fall on your hands? Just how uncoordinated are you?

You're an idiot. I had my hands on the ground, trying to do a handstand from backwards roll, but my speed was too great and I didn't manage to stop my right leg, which came crashing to the ground, whereas my left leg stayed up.

A sprained ankle is a very common injury for teens — athletes and non-athletes alike.

Quote
Sprained ankles are a common injury in both athletes and sedentary persons. For every tennis player, runner or aerobics dancer that feels the unexpected and painful roll when they are out exercising, there’s a less active individual whose ankle unexpectedly twists under them while they are going down the steps to retrieve mail from the mailbox, or while walking out to their car.

Yeah, sprained ankles are common, bud, that's why they're one of the most common "sports injuries" too.

And? The gif I posted above is of an athlete who is not athletic. That is the case in the majority of cases. Kids playing soccer doesn't automagically turn them into athletic, well coordinated specimen.

Checked one of your links at random, and:

Many people play sports in some way or another, whether they are playing for fun in their backyard or competitively on a team.

Yeah, such athletes, playing something in their backyard. Of course they'll sprain their ankles.
