Im afraid this patch has'nt worked.

Its produced masses of super fast spam where the higher levels mean people take min strength for a longsword/miadao/greatsword/bec/great long axe/great long bardiche, chuck the rest in agi for athletics and weapon master then spam like loonies.

Endless fights chasing guys s keying at speed of light spamming a long weapon is getting tired real quick. And I find playing a spammer dull so just doing the same doesnt appeal.

My suggestion - use old system of levels xp but no stat increases after lvl 31.

Instead of scaling all the levels up so that the current high level range is from 35-38, all the levels should have been scaled down, so that the range is from 30-33. That way the level gap is still relatively small, and not everyone has insane builds. Warband's mechanics simply don't translate well beyond level 30, as we saw where all the old level 36s had massively OP builds. Now we have everyone running around with a level 35, if not even higher, build.

Decreased levels would've made the forums explode for sure. Other than athletics, it's mostly going to be the same if items are changed. The balancers were thinking of putting -1 speed on everything, but there was a wait and see approach for how wpf penalties were going to be higher for agi builds.

I personally don't have any problems, but my ping only hovers around 30-50.

So it worked then? Agility is awesome, spam is truth. If you dont want to chace them when they S key, press S yourself for a second. When they realise they are 200 metres away and still spastically spamming, they come back again. Rinse and repeat, watch them wonder why they arent killing, as they run backwards. Keep it up untill they get fullrage and start coming at you, then kick them in the dick.

There are four competitive game modes: Strategus, Conquest, Siege and Battle. First three are strongly in favor STR builds, AGI shines in battle but isn't that much better than moderate STR build. You can say what you want, but STR is still the king (when I say STR I mean 21-30 STR).

Difference between 18 AGI (6 ATH) and 27 AGI (9 ATH) isn't drastic in my case and I wear light armor. Barely noticeable actually.

You're right. Maybe people became crazy and they will to eat them keyboards if everything return like before.
The problem isnt agi build, but the people with a katana, with 10~ armor weight with agi build.
Dont nerf all agi buil, because with my shielder 19/24 (lv 37) i swing slower then before patch (18/21) and i dont understand why.

Now, does inverted attacks make sense? No, it does not, the organic feeling that M&B combat gives stems from normal attacks: you bring your weapon back, then swing it.

Um, mount&blade, you know the original one, had inverted attacks as the default selection. So for the oldmy old friends like me, that's 6 years of playing with inverted attacks. And now according to you, I'm supposed to switch, because you feel threatened by inverted attack users, or because inverted attack users are somehow morally bankrupt, or what?

wat? u kiddin me?
"1h can still compete" dont you guys ever think, that 1h is de facto more fast then 2h?
looks like devs never saw and touched medieval melee weapon by themselfs. pix only. lol.

"2h can still compete with 1h in swing speed" this is a correct formulation. just how it should be.

sorry, but this mod still a bullshit.

and dont you, dear devs, see that there is a tons axe and 2h spammer assholes who just running around the enemy and spam him?

why dont u just take some 2m long and 5kg iron pipe and try to swing that awhile foot work? dont u guys learn physics in school? u need a fulcrum and stuff ah come oooon...

that speed bonus is a bullshit. untill u remove it this game is a game for lame kids like QQX.

scusame

Dude I'm a classic 2hand hero abuser for years in cRPG because its so easy to stomp scrubs with spam and hilt slashes and crap, but I've also played plenty of 1hander and try to always do really easy OP shit for good KDs and having fun.

Since 1hand stab got buffed, get a faster high pierce weapon and just stab the shit out of people. Dunno how OP it is now (like polearm overhead) but the stab with 101+ speed weapons and standing directly in front of people I could just keep stabbing as bad players tried to respond with blocks or attacks, or just keep held thrusts while darting around ganking people with surprise shanks and repeated support stabs the moment they get distracted.

And remember that if you use good footwork you can spam left swings really close for repeated high damage head hits with very little effort. Dunno how right swing is anymore but you can just backpedal and spam that if any 2hander or polearm tries to spam you and you will win the scrub tier trade with zero damage and easy kills if you can abuse max reach.

If you keep your shield up too much you are instantly going to be seen as bad and someone will spam you for a quick kill, its like pub stomp chum..

tl;dr get good

Higher levels have multiple advantage. For starters, more build diversity is possible. Then you have the fact that this translates into a much needed general increase in lethality, one of the first causes of complaints being that combat felt too slow. Also it means that hybridization of ranged is encouraged as ranged builds now tend to cap in effectiveness quicker than the level cap.

We need an armour buff really. Increased lethality just makes the game easier for the best players as you can block anything and kill in a couple hits. There is no forgiveness at all now if you aren't in the top 10%
If you have ranged troubles use this:

We need an armour buff really.

If you read what San (balancer) wrote, you would realize that low to medium armor is mostly useless and that armor becomes important around 55 AR mark. If you buff high armor more that will only make stronger cookie cutter builds DRZ/Greys use. And completely obliterate lighter builds. Katana isn't an issue on siege, Merc Mr Potato is using Spamtana build and while he is deadly, can't stay he wouldn't be even more deadly with a build and weapon choice similar of what Varadin and company use.

If you make medium armor stronger, then plate and STR lovers will complain how balancers prefer 'gay' builds which in their eyes are AGI builds and light armor. It is a very difficult situation to please everybody.

Then stop complaining that the game is only about numbers or that it is too slow. My opinion is that both complaints are completely legitimate and urgently needed action. I've never had more fun than playing naked or almost naked and I believe more people should try it.
