Chambering is significantly easier with normal if you ask me, having to look away from an incoming attack is rather awkward, especially since that is opposite from what you do with blocking. With normal, chambering is just a matter of blocking with the other mouse button and some timing thrown in, you can also switch from chamber attempt to block easier when it turns out your opponent is doing a hold.

Some crap about being a tryhard

Dude, have you played with me? I am far from a tryhard - I'm a fucking 200 ping archer with no melee capabilities for christsake.

Damn you are retarded.

I've spent plenty of time with Happy in TS, I can prove she is the tryhardest of tryhards. Such a neckbeard.

not really, Happy is one of the nicest people out there, especially for a Dracul member

(2*head armor weight + body armor weight + leg armor weight + 6*hand armor weight - max(6, IF*2, Str/3 + 1))^1.12

How calculate shields weight?

Thanks for the answers.

Shield and weapon don't affect wpf at all, only armor.

Do you have to be a tryhard to use inverted? Pretty much.

I started using inverted mouse movement out of sheer boredom, after 3 years of playing with normal settings, and I don't feel it gives me any advantage. And I wouldn't call myself a tryhard

PS. Chambering side swings with inverted mouse movement is much harder. At least for me.

From watching Teeth play a couple times I'm sure he uses inverted because it makes stabbing with long polearms easier to abuse, since you aim up release then drag down, without colliding on terrain or anything.

Chambering is tough with inverted, and connecting too early in a swing and glancing happened to me a lot too. I prob never really adjusted my footwork for proper inverse hilt slash abuse though, since I used normal for years and inverse for several months, but eventually went back to normal.

I feel like normal gives you more sense of control on your offense, and easier to target switch to your sides. Inverse definitely makes attacking people in front of you easier though, good for OP noob support polearms (Teeth) or facehug hilt slashing/wild spam.

Also 1hand + shield isn't underpowered as a playstyle, just really shitty players tend to play it and cry about 2hand and polearms being OP, as always.

edit: HEY CMP is it possible to have control options of inversing stabs and overheads, but keeping sideswings the same? THANKS

Its not, its all the same animations, just your movespeed is slower, which can affect the time it takes for your swing to connect by your footwork.

There's also the delay with switching between blocks and attacks.

Uhm.. This delays has influenced by shield-skill and/or speed/weight of the shield?
It's my impression, or after the patch this dealys are increased?

Even the crappy Simple Swords have 102 speed at +3 now. I think it would be fairly difficult to outspam that, even if they're still very weak. Not saying that one dominates the other, but I think 1h can still compete, even with only cheap items available to them.
wat? u kiddin me?
"1h can still compete" dont you guys ever think, that 1h is de facto more fast then 2h?
looks like devs never saw and touched medieval melee weapon by themselfs. pix only. lol.

"2h can still compete with 1h in swing speed" this is a correct formulation. just how it should be.

sorry, but this mod still a bullshit.

and dont you, dear devs, see that there is a tons axe and 2h spammer assholes who just running around the enemy and spam him?

why dont u just take some 2m long and 5kg iron pipe and try to swing that awhile foot work? dont u guys learn physics in school? u need a fulcrum and stuff ah come oooon...

that speed bonus is a bullshit. untill u remove it this game is a game for lame kids like QQX.

scusame

Technically yes, players using inverted attack directions can swing ever so slightly faster than players using regular mouse attack directions since turn speed has a limit, but it's usually the difference in where their character looks before swinging that throws me off.

I personally use keyboard attack directions since I'm used to JKII/Jedi Academy style controls, which also seems to throw some people off.

It's possible to mislead people about your next attack direction with it too: If you hold a movement direction, and tap and let go of a different direction, you can swap attack directions without noticeable movement.

On the shield thing, as far as I can tell, the animations in actions have the same duration as the weapon blocks, but I remember that weapon speed has an effect on the time it takes to raise/lower a block from screwing around with modding a while ago. WPF could have a similar effect with a less noticeable difference.

He wants more vodka and is sad that you made fun of his bear.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.
