Okay you guys did not really think this out did you?  You reduced bow damage because higher level meant higher PD (also means the people theya re shooting ahve higher IF and athletics adn shield and riding to dodge or take more hits).  But what were yout hinking reducing short bow's damage by 3 and the other lower tier bows that do already nonexistent damage.  5 PD is the max bonus short bow can get for damage, higher level wont make it hurt more (maybe 1-2% more with 1 more weaponmaster).  Please fix this and rethink what youa re doing.  Also all bows doing half or less the damage they did pre-patch - something is wrong with the coding.

some things that I think need changed:
rocks are walk-though
irish halberd needs a little nerf on that stab. it's basically an elegant with 4 more stab damage.
horse-ranged need to have their points reduced, they still get points as if they do full damage.
Guisarme needs to be balanced a little better, it's a cut-bec that is longer, hopliteable, and useable on horseback.
the two 2h axes that got added also need nerfing in one way or another.

edit: also make retirement titles based off XP, there are two people I know that are leaving based off the fact that they can't get those titles anymore.

You're thinking of the Swardstaeevvvv not the Jew'sArm.  The Jew'sArm can't be used on horseback, or with a shield.  But it's only 38c on swing, which is really low.  Like Military Scythe low, plus its on the slow side.

I dont think you read what i said.  i stated that PD was not adding more damage after 5 PD and having 1 more weaponmaster with higher level adds roughly 11-15 more wpf (155 to 170 e.g.).  Since 100 wpf = 8% damage, roughly 1/7th to 1/10th of 100 wpf adds roughly 1-2% more damage.  Short bow has never been an OP bow, very low damage.  It absolutely did not need damage reduction.  Same goes with the other lower tier bows.

I personally as an archer had basically the same archer stats from level 30 up to 34: WPF = 7 or 8 (whatever you get at 24 agi) and PD = 6 (18 str).

I loaded these primary stats early on in my build, because: necessary for archer.

... any additional exp points I earned between level 30 and 34 I used to add to secondary skills (ath and PS). So, I wasn't a more effective archer at high levels, but I could run (more ath) and defend myself better (more PS) at high levels.

If you made the archery changes with the belief that archer would be OP at higher levels, I don't agree... they'd simply be better hybrids at high level (being able to build their melee stats).

Now, to be kind of as effective as I was pre patch, I have to not only put more points into PD (for damage) but also IF (to compensate for  changes in gear weight). Overall this makes me a less effective archer now at level 34 than I was at level 30 pre-patch (damage-wise). Sure I get more accuracy now, but frankly I would trade that for the better damage I had pre-patch.

Plus now I am fighting high level melee guys who are (perhaps arguably, I don't know given I don't melee that much) more effective against me because a) more strength / ironflesh or b) a fuckton of agi - with which, I can't now compete. They simply have more points to distribute into the same attributes (perhaps excepting IF), whereas mine is now more spread (requiring more PD / IF - I'd say IF to manage WPF is more important to ranged than melee).

I just don't believe foot archers were that OP before patch. And now the imbalance is huge.

Caveat: I wear ping goggles.

Jesus your reading comprehension is abysmal. I agreed with 1/2 of your post and you for some reason can't figure that out. Here, let me appeal to your ego so that you might actually listen.

Kesh you are right. But only about pd not helping after you reach 5. The rest of your post is wrong. Again, you're right about the PD stuff, just wrong on the mechanics of wpf. WPF's affects on damage depend on how much PS/PT/PD you have, and exactly how much wpf you have. 100 > 110 is not the same as 150>160. Furthermore, the 1 pd bow isn't really of too much importance (it shouldn't be competitive with the others) as it's really only there for strat and low levels.
