A brief history lesson for ya'll as far as I can remember (too much pot). Both Acre and Squid were founded through varying degrees of treachery/dishonorable actions. Way back in the day of Strat 1 as we Templars were fighting the then relatively unknown Druzhina there was a strength in the Templar order from a collection of NA players. This strength of the Templars with North American Ping was led by myself and Marshall Reinhardt. Upon extensive game mechanic abuse, the Russian horde began overwhelming us pious Templars and when we were at our greatest moment of need, the Marshall left the Templars to go on to form Acre. Our forces were quickly overwhelmed and after the wipe, I took a hiatus from the council. Though I was bitter about this abandonment for quit some time, bygones are bygones and quite honestly, I am rooting for Acre in this war as well as in their future endeavors.
The squids, as far as I know and I may be horribly mistaken here so please forgive me if so and correct me so I may have an accurate working knowledge of the applicable histories, were also founded on dishonorable actions. Back in strat 4 when KUTT was a new, prosperous clan with much potential (an ally and friend of hosp btw, so personal bias will apply to following statement), the teutonic knights were formed as an offshoot of KUTT. I believe this was Wesley. Well, ambitions have a tendency to invalidate loyalties in many men and women and soon the teutonic knights split from KUTT and in a highly dramatic fashion betrayed and essentially assisted in the massive gangrape of KUTT. They were wiped off the map in about a week's time. Teutonics (a very short lived clan name and their actions invalidated any claim they may have had to an honorable knightly RP name) died out and eventually became AOW and now Squids.
The basic point here is that both of these clans have skeletons in their closets, so please stop this petty fighting over the moral high ground because honestly, neither of you have a legitimate claim to any moral argument. When you have to pay mercs to fight for you, you're doing something seriously wrong. Not only are you both paying mercs to fight, but you have devolved to pathetic squabbling over the ensuing drama from said paying of mercs. Both of your shits stink, acre's in my slightly biased opinion slightly less so.
