Yeah we just "gifted" 2 away

"gifting" as "we're too close to the river so people can see us as they pass by and steal our stuff"

I truly am happy about the fact that animals kill you when you are unconscious - for the second time, it stopped me from something that has started to rapidly turn into a life-sucking addiction. (I now remembered why I rage-quit World 6)

Seriously, the game is so great, and the grief factor of the game is great fun, but animals killing you is like getting trolled by an AI. You literally get punished for exploring.

Tell me when that feature is removed, I'll play it again then :)

well everyone uses enders, it shows u animals on minimap and thier aggro radius. only a couple are agressive and I forage right next to them all the time never had an issue with it myself xD

my brother did get killed before trying to tame and getting herd stomped, and Ive had some close shaves with bears but only when I was trying to aggro them intentionally.

PS:l I borrowed someon1's boat, but manged to steal a 2nd ;D

We need more organization than this. I nominate Vibe to draft a plan, for immediate action and building.

My thoughts...
-Let's do something cheap and quick for protecting property and getting rolling.
-A small cabin should be enough for right now. We're just here to get warmed up before hunting for a better Q area.
-Let's set a short term goal for our group, be it a development goal or an infrastructure goal. i.e., we have an active baker, explorer, hunter, and builder OR we have a full stocked wagon and a raft to float it down river to a new home.

Animals have a random chance to either kill you or leave you when you get knocked out, guess you've been very unlucky. Honestly, since world 4 I believe I only got killed once by a bear, and that was only because I lagged. Also, are you using Enders? Turn on animal highlighting and you'll notice animals on radar way before they can aggro you, pretty much removing the option to get killed by wildlife. If you're playing on the default client then it's pretty understandable why you keep walking into dangerous animals :D
You should not give up. The whole point of H&H is to persist through death :)

Goddamn boat thieves. Lost one boat so far to a guy who was there with his own boat and just lifted mine and boated away. He was gone in 2 seconds and I cried hard D:
Also I don't like Daji's graphic mode that much.

For protecting property we already have a claim up, Garem. That's all the protection we need for early world, 99% of people don't have theft yet.
As for the development goal:
- everyone build their characters, get LP
- start deciding what job you want to take with your character (farmer, cook, tailor, hunter/forager, miner, blacksmith, carpenter, butcher) - of course you can take multiple of those (preferable), and start putting nature/industry slider in the right direction
- I'm going to review the island we are at a bit for the best spot to start building the village, but where we are right now is pretty good already
- then we build, first put palisade up, get that ore that Lennu discovered production going and put up a brick wall before the first palibashers appear (we have enough time for that) - this will make our village pretty much invincible if we check for rams once every 24 hours.
- when survival is high enough, we look for better quality resource nodes and claim them, if we don't find them we'll have to trade
- ultimately the optimal scenario would be for everyone to have their outgoing forager/hunter character and one crafter, that's going to remain safe inside village - so if you die you lose "just" your forager

I think im going for high survival seems damned useful now,  as much as explore. like I found some flotsam but it was only qq 11. im now at 15/15 explore/surviv

if someone plans on going sewing/dex they could make some uber nettle pants which could go along way, after I find some high q nettle

I actually never change that slider, except on crafter chars that don't need damage. Otherwise this might hurt your char if you want to kill some wildlife.

I'm going to guess it's a node, you could dig from it continuously?

We have one guy that's going to go carpentry. I'm going to go forage/hunting/mining/smithing on one char and most probably farming/cooking on the other, but will take sewing/dex if we need it.

well I disagree, even if your going martial later, its generally agreed its always best to go peaceful early just because you can level up faster. and once change is full you can switch for the damage quite easy. and 60% more lp of all those curios until that point is alot.

and yeah thats what I meant a clay node, will go back there at some point when surv is high and make a ton of toy chariots or whatever.

if you have +20% Learning Ability from full Peaceful, and x3 LA from full Change, the +20% is multiplied by 3 to become +60%.
