Could it be that you get the message after lvling a few times in the same outfitbuild? not necessarily right away after a lvl up.
Got the message with lvl 6 or 7 wearing always the same useless peasent stuff.

bad news: the stuff we gathered so far was corrupted and had to be deleted.
good news: it's fixed with the patch, so any time you see the message from now on will stay permanently
another good news: we changed the occurance mechanic slightly

This makes me happy, considering I have never gotten the message.

It might just be a very big coincidence, but I had that msg right after a tick that gave me exactly 100k exp ... I was too low level to have a good K:D or to be top of the scoreboard ...

I never got it originally so I don't mind that I lost the imaginary buff but it might give us all a chance to find out a little more about it!

or is the message random and doing something special?

Never seen this message. I play a lot across multiple different characters - I may play an hour as crossbowman then hop on my full strength character for two more etc. but the important bit is that I never really change my gear, I pick a set of rags that have me looking like a member of a militia or mercenary group, and I build my characters around a specific weapon and never switch out to anything else, or even loot anything from dead players.
This makes me think the effect is totally random or maybe just has a crazy low chance of happening.

Maybe both, and with maths : "smtg -> msg && msg -> smtg"  equals  "smtg -> smtg"

So I got it again this morning (1st time post reset that chadz mentioned).

I was 5-0 in a round, got it near the end of it.  Was level 28, close to level 29 by ~100k 125k.

I still don't see anything immediately different, but I did notice a weird thing on the site (could be a bug or something else weird).

I just went to check the site and in the space that you can increase skills, my name is filled in in the 'weaponmaster' skill increase box.  I know I never did that before, so I'm wondering if something funky is going on with the 'thine arms buff' in regards to weaponmaster or wpf? 

Again could be nothing, but I though I'd share. 

E: eh more I think about it it's probably just a bug... another one of my lines show that and it is trying to save a new password or whatever.

A long time ago, chadz mentioned he was thinking about making a system where players would earn wpf for specific weapons depending on how much they used that weapon.

E.g. if I'm using my Poleaxe a lot, I will gain extra wpf for that specific weapon (I think it was something like that).

Sort of like: This is my weapon, there are many like it but this one is mine - Therefore I am better at using it.

I wouldn't know though.

Yeah, I think it should be like SP, when you gain points using weapons AND with the skill WP (wich make you win points faster too).
