Dear Devs,

I know this has been brought up quite some times, although unanswered so far as far as I know. I want to ask something about "ghost projectiles".

I noticed that the average dev-activity is somewhat higher than usual on the forums in last few weeks. Questions concerning game mechanics are actually getting answered every now and then. No matter why this is, I want to take the opportunity to ask:

Why is the hitdetection regarding missiles so bad and why has every single one of the countless threads adressing this issue so far been ignored ?


It is a widely known fact that there exists a bug that causes missiles to travel through playermodels without getting registered as a hit. It happens on every server, at any time, any serverpopulation, any ping, any rangedweapon, any distance and any other value you can think of to alter. The only difference is that a year ago, "ghost proectiles" probably appeared at a rate of 10% per shot where as of now we seem to be at 30% - 50%. Any archer, thrower or xbower should have had the pleasure of experiencing this by now.

So why is this bug still there ? Is it unfixable ? Is it hardcoded ? Is it intended ? Is it due to a contract with the CIA ?

- Give jump ability to throwers again

- Add PD req to xbows

- Remove the ability to jump with pikes/lspears

- Polethrust to all GS

- Remove bump slash, bump couch and bump lance thrust.

Those are horrible suggestions, also bumpcouch is a bug, very rare for it to happen actually.
You should be punished for having a shitty attitude.

I want total balance in the mod while you don`t.

Gurnisson is afraid that if pikes/lspears gets nerfed he wont be able to abuze.

You and shemaforash are afraid that if your beloved GS gets nerfed you wont be able to abuze anymor,thus you won`t feed your ego by topping the score board.

Time to go polearm, since danish/german is useless.

You shed tears when GS had a minor nerf.

I can only imagine what will happen if lolstab gets removed.

Sorry Panos, but asking to add jumpshoot with throwers and  remove jumps with pikes/long spears and you call that balance?

Naaah, either all can jump whatever they like or none, no exceptions.

No Panos, I just think your suggestions are bad. I rarely play my main and when I do it's either strat or a few round as lancer or with long bardiche. Don't pike as much as I used to. :)

Jump throwing was balls mechanic.
Xbows shouldn't need skill point investment, rather wpf investment.
Either remove jump attacks with all classes or none.
Polestab on all greatswords is too hard of a nerf.
Bumpslash is vital for 1H cavalry and bumpstab is quite weak with the slow crpg lances. Bump couch is broken though, I agree.

I do not want total balance? That is based of...... ur opinion, great. we are afraid..... so that is based on..ur opinion, great. Maybe we have a different idea of what ''total balance'' is? That is kinda  the problem, when it comes to balance. People have different ideas around what ''total balance'' is.

Have not rly played on the ''combat'' servers recently, i only played rageball for 2 months. I will just change to shielder then, they are 10 times better than any manual blocking weapon in rageball ;).

Buff ranged? Nah

Something needs to be done, i'm sure they will come up with something if they have the interest in balancing these sniper/melee hybrid guys

Nah, I don't think they need nerfs, just people need to assess the threats in melee team fights and play accordingly. 1v1 they are not a preferred weapon imo

Its a good attack but I wouldn't nerf it personally unless they want to fix any glitches they find

- Remove bump slash, bump couch and bump lance thrust.

Bump slash needs a fix. You can get hit from the back of the weapon animation while the weapon is nowhere near intercepting you. Very cheap way to kill someone

Yes yes I know,you love seeing full tin cans with a shield and a light xbow having a vast amount of IF ..

Because doing a 180 jumpturn with a 3m weapon is really realistic..
Polestab on all greatswords is too hard of a nerf.
Lolstabs are broken,even my little niece will see that if she plays for 1 hour..
