The Basileia ton Romaion clan is based on the historical Byzantine Empire. The Empire was unique in its style as a bridge between Europe and Asia,therefore it united different styles of warfare. It ranged from light steppe horsearchers to heavily armored kataphracts and from very skilled archers to heavy infantry from Minor Asia, Scandinavia and Central Europe.
The Warfare of the Empire was sophisticated and very disciplined, the Empire defeated numerous enemies through their superior tactics, skills and equipment.

This is also the Major Theme of the Byzantium as a cRPG Clan: warfare heavily based on tactics and especially on outstanding teamplay performed by  dedicated soldiers.

We  recruit capable players which obey battle orders and represent the clan in a proper way. This requires Teamspeak attendance and the will to improve the present state of skill and Teamplay. We are an active clan in cRPG but we have recently quit strategus as we have decided to focus our attention on participating and organizing clan battles and tournaments, we have also started participating in native clan battles because of the highly competative nature of these battles.
We don't have any skill requirements for applicants we prefer to help them to get better as they advance through the ranks.

Also we'd like to thank Ujin for his great work in building up this clan and keeping it together for over a year before resigning from his leadership position.

If a player is willing to join the clan he/she(yeah right) can apply in the following forum LINK and fill out the application. Upon applying you will automatically enter the probation period, as an applicant you will have to use teamspeak during the application period so that our members can get to know you. This usually takes anywhere from a few days up to two weeks. Although we´re again active in strategus, our only criteria for being accepted is if we think you fit into the clan or not, this usually means being sixteen years or older, the use of teamspeak is encouraged.

@ Mustikki - i guess simply because noone is interested in it anymore. People would much rather have their fun in clan battles both in cRPG and native =). We had a small native battle vs a very decent native clan (i think it was our first native battle outside of BD actually) and tbh , to me at least, those 30+ mins were more fun than the whole last strat altogether.

As for the leadership, we have old members that can keep things in one place , there's no need for a power-hungry half-russian half-georgian dictator to rule them all now .

I played a native clan match yesterday too. Archers can headshot you from across the map, siege xbows reloads in half a second and the crosshair of both is so small it's disturbing.

Apart from that fact, native is fun enough.
