I'm actually impressed by how much better it looks than the first Darkfall (which was abysmal to look at).

I am hoping its alot better optimised and we will get more frames in big battles tho.

otherwise everyone will have to turn the graphics down again, and people will once again think the game looks abysmal when its actually half decent.

Oh yeah that does look better than the videos I saw. All the videos I saw were really horrible compared to this.

watch it HD, this one I was actually impressed by. yes; once again horrible flashy spell effects. but you can see some of the cool gameplay changes, like less accurate reticule whilst moving. 3rd person view for archery.

personally I liked the 1st person but it put alot of people off the game being force to 1st person to aim a bow. on the downside 3rd person does dumb down the game more, makes it harder to sneak up and "sticky back".

I'm giving it a go, on the DF forums alot are saying the action bar is now placed like a "League" 1-4 keys with a 5 ultimate key which i can also see watching the skirmisher role.

TLDR Version:
* Roles can be changed at any time. Role changes activated via a gui option have a 30 minute cooldown and take a 1 minute channeling effect to activate a change.
* Surges are disabled.
* NO FIZZLES!!!
* Multicore support, no more loadlag.
* No movement skills so no afk swimming for stats.
* No boats or siege weapons for launch.
* Starter cities are non pvp zones.
* No guards, no guard towers in NPC or player cities.
* Racial alignment system is gone. You're blue, green or red. Red has no consequences other than letting other players know you might not be trustworthy.
* You have three default attacks: Vanilla melee, vanilla archery and common magic (transfers, heals, utilities).
* Roles fill out your other abilities. You get a primary role with 4 skills and 1 ultimate and a secondary school with 4 abilities/skills for a total of 9 abilities.
* Mercenary contract system is in at launch.

I hope they fixed the UI so you don't need to learn to script to bind multiple functions to one key.
