Sounds like an excellent question for the CRPG Suggestions Corner. Suggestions to add or improve game features
Post it there. There is nothing as a mapmaker can do about this. Perhaps put barriers down everywhere would be my idea. But this would mean a lot of work.

Long Uneven Walk Map

This is definitely the worst of all the new maps that I've seen. Basically, you have a 30 seconds slow, uneven walk (maybe 25 if by some miracle the gate is open) under the arrow fire to the entrance which has 2 wooden doors that need to be blocked down and lead to a perfect chokehold for the defense. The only sensible way to play this map is to start tossing up ladders, but since ladders are the only real threat to defense, they can easily afford to just send one person over the wall to knock them all down with ease. This map needs to be removed or seriously editted.

Spiral Staircase

This map is also a massive problem. The spiral staircase makes getting to the flag a pain and gives any defense extra time to spawn in convenient locations (however, there is a good chance they'll spawn in an unconvenient location in which case they're helpless) to stop the advance. However, while that's the most annoying problem, that's not the worse. The entire map is just one single path to the flag with a massive choke point. This map needs to be removed.

Castle in the Sky

To be honest, I actually like this map, but it needs two definite edits. The initial attack spawn point should be in the center of that glowing wall, not on the edge of death. And the actual fall shouldn't take 4 seconds. There has to be a shorter way to insure death. This map needs to be editted

I agree that all these maps need to be removed.

"long uneven walk map" Wouldn't be to bad if it was smoothed out a bit and a ladder was added in the back. As it is now there is only one way in, and its a huge bottleneck. The defenders respawn before the attackers even make it to this choke point.

Spiral staircase is a huge bottleneck with bugged stairs and bad spawn placement.

Castle in the sky is just a very annoying map. Attackers almost never win. 10% of the attackers die the first spawn from falling to their deaths. Did i mention you fall for 30 seconds before you hit the bottom and finally die...

Played it.  Wasn't complicated, which is fine.  Attack spawn is a bit tight... ppl trample eachother (especially horses... ugg).

Mainly its just run (uphill) run (uphill).  Not so much even fighting.  Kinda boring.  If it were half the size it be more combat and more fun.

This one is rather plain looking.  Very spacioius..... and well.  As it was played it was like every 5 seconds people dropped offline or off server.  It literally emptied the server....  Its not hard.... just nothing to commend it or make it fun.  Its not worth having as a castle to attack.

Siege Attack

I also want to nominate this map.  Attackers never lose and it's always plagued by people floating glitch ladders over the flag to make it even easier.

#str_blank_83 Jammadi_Castle

This map isn't a disaster like the others but the EU servers have an updated version of it that plays much better.

Remembered one more map I'd like to see gone but don't know the name.  Grabbed the pic from another thread. It's the one with the river that has a twig bridge to allow the siege tower to roll over. 

It's a really bad map, buggy, and hideously ugly.   The attacker spawns are irritating, some of the important doors have wooden ceilings over them to prevent defense from defending, I've fallen through parts of the map, the stretched out textures on the ground actually hurt my eyes.  It's not fun playing on either side.  I really can't say anything good about it.

This one is just too big...takes too long to get to flag even if you are not opposed.

We all know which one im refering to.  There is no need for outer gate, just remove it and replace with quickly breakable outer door or something.  Defense being able to ninja close this is too much on an already difficult offense map.

I agree.  I'd love to give this map a chance, but the maker keeps making it worse for attackers each time.  Lose the gate and replace with something breakable and KEEP the ladder.  I don't like having only one real way in.  Also, if he absolutely MUST keep the spiral staircase (I implore him to remove it.  It's just as annoying for us to use it as it is for him to try to make is usable), put the flag in the room directly behind the door attackers must break down on the 2nd floor(?) or the stairs.

Axe this retarded map please.  Every time it loads almost everybody whines about it.  As I understand it, it is some Admin's pet project, but come on guys, it sucks ass.

I like a good fight.  Playing against stacked odds while fun now and then gets old real quick...which is why well balanced maps are essential.

Dunno if it's been said yet, but remove Camelot. Half the time the gate spawns opened and is impossible to close.

Oh, and Krak des Chevalieres, unless the attackers initial spawn inside the castle is fixed.

Another vote to remove the Chevalieres map - way too big for pub and has bugged spawns
