rather slow input from developers improving the game.

Website got a pretty nice buff recently  and you forget about rageball.

I stopped playing around summer of 2011, and picked CRPG back up a little while ago. If anything, there are a few more players on servers now than then. Sometimes you gotta wait 5 minutes for a slot to open up to get onto EU1 or NA1 during peak hours.

The seige servers usually have 80+ people when I'm on too.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Usually when chadz gave them there were MORE players every time.

But when it comes to events and fun stuff and gameplay updates, it is dieing in my opinion.
This.

I was really excited when i first saw the discussion about making a ladder system for cRPG, but time has passed and no progress so far...

Crpg definitely needs something like this to keep the overall interest up, imo. Playing on public servers will become too repetitive eventually .

P.S. one important detail i'd like to add - other games can't kill cRPG, unless it's Warband2/cRPG 2. But it can slowly become less of a "priority game" by itself if it stays in the same stale state.

Guild Wars 2 is awful and nothing like cRPG. And sadly nothing like GW1 either.

We must have played a different beta.  GW2 is amazing.  "World vs World" is everything I think most PvPers have been dreaming of -- basically a vast improvement over what DAOC had.

I won't say it's a "cRPG killer" because cRPG gameplay is vastly different and I'm sure there are people here who simply don't like MMORPG type mechanics (even though GW2 is changing quite a lot of them).  I'm also sure GW2 will steal more people than Skyrim or SWTOR, though, and will keep them longer.
Crush your enemies; see them driven before you; hear the lamentations of their women.

Only thing this mod got going is addiction, PERIOD.

But hell, even i managed to stay away from it and take breaks from time to time with my recent break which was a couple of months (6-7 iirc). You just gotta find a good/a couple of good games to have as a substitute.

But once again...only thing this mod got going is addiction, especially for the multi/grind junkies. I miss when ladderpulting existed and every bought piece of equipment felt special and one step closer to ''dream build/gear setup''. Back when you had fun and were supposed to have fun.

Old CRPG with a couple of tweaks would've been great.

"WvW is designed to accomodate players that would not normally participate in PvP. For instance, the high player limit means a new player can get involved without immediately feeling pressured to contribute."

'Nuff said. Dumbed down, skilless PvP. Yawn.

I'm only playing cRPG and will keep doing that until it finally shut down. Karasu already explained why. I can't play games like Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, Path of Exile and similar, not after Warband.

But I'm not satisfied how devs treat us, I'm sick of beta status and "it's just a mod, don't complain". I want this to become a full fledged game and I'm willing to pay money for it but only if devs change their approach from casual to serious support.

Honestly, I'm not interested in that 4X space game currently called Project Asinus.
