I'd call that an exploit. At this point, i'd say both sides are so soiled that you know what, both of you should just shut up.

Don't worry about it, I reported the bug in the bug reports section. Hopefully it will get handled and I am going to use your screenshot in the thread too by the way as it is better than the one I took.

We managed to use most of those 1 item equipment but in the beginning many of our players with low-end computers crashed because of the massive amount of equipment. So yeah, it putted us in quite a disadvantage at the beginning.

I couldnt select arbalest for 15minutes and steel bolts untill almost the end of the battle, I couldnt use most of the armor either.

It looks like its selectable but no, you see the item but you cannot select it. I was unable to select my equipment at least 10 minutes, I heard it was also impossible to select siege shields, arbalests, arrows, bolts etc.

If anyone wants to try it, just buy shit loads of crap equipment in cRPG and try to select your own equipment in public servers. BRD and their mercs were a lot more careful this time, I wish you didn't do that item bomb.

It was actually a TKoV battle, and I agree I wish that equipment bomb hadn't happened either.

There are more clans involved than just The Mercs and BRD. 

It is a shame the equipment bomb happened (though the huge list of items itself is pretty funny). I was surprised when I read about it here. I look forward to having a fair and even battle one of these days.

To be honest, this is utterly bullshit. I would love to see you being on the receiving side. As stated above, beta or not (gonna make the important part readable well for all you retards, who think this was master tactics), exploiting bugs instead of JUST reporting them is wrong.

If you do not see the difference between reporting and abusing, i pity you.

Seriously, I have been in the receiving side of bugs, I went to IRC, and I said Bullshit, and that was all, I didn't go to the Strategus General discussion and make a Thread about the bugs, many people know about what happened to us and alot of clans, I didn't try to make people pity me by crying on the forums.

Speaking for myself, if this is  considered an exploit/bug abuse situation (which given the fact the mercs couldn't access all of their equipment seems likely) then I do support temp banning whichever individuals were involved and hopefully this won't be practiced in the future before chadz & co can fix it.

What I and I think many people in this thread find ridiculous is the enormity of whining and unfounded accusations that are flying when it could have been a simple bug report issue in the bug report thread and this thread never needed to exist.  It's not the WHAT I take issue with, it's the HOW the issue was handled predominantly by some individuals in the mercs.  Just buckets of complaining in the beta strat makes you look just as bad as the people who abused this IMO.

Anyways, this battle is over, so can this thread die yet?

To be honest you know shit man, i am in Bandits, yeah, but i am not involved in this, so get your facts straight before trying to be a smartass. And believe me, i would say the same if this happened in any other "battle", as how the fuck you dare to call this battling, when mostly it is decided by mischievous behavior, which is even NOT NEW in strat?

I do not think my affiliation to any faction here makes my arguments less weighted than yours. If you think so, it is useless to discuss with you any further.

Edit: Just fyi, dunno about others, but I personally do NOT browse bug reports sections on other ocassions that i want to report something and checking whether it was already reported or not. I do not find the fact this was posted here as stupid, actually, it was an attempt to make more players aware of this. On one side it can lead to some sort of "how to grief ur enemy" tutorial, but at least it should force the dev to deal with this faster.

I'm part of the alliance fighting against the Merc alliance, so theoretically, I'm biased in favor anything that hurts the Mercs is ok. And yet, I still think anybody who thinks bug abusing shouldn't be punished just because this is a beta version is an idiot. And being "biased" against Mercs means my opinion is even more valid then yours.
