grinding 1 to 100 smith with iron daggers is quite a grind but pretty op went up so many levels, so many unspent perk points. and now I have pretty much the best armour in game and tank like a boss.

But your combat skills don't increase and the enemies get harder. So it's not that OP.

Also, I think guys powering their smithing to 100 aren't really doing themselves a favor. There are some really good looking armors, at least I like to spend some time using them.

True, i have 100 blacksmithing and only 50 in onehanded and about 35 in both heavy armor and block :D
Altho skilling up block is quite easy too, just find an opponent with 1h and let him smack your shield for hours.

Yeh, and the Heavy Armor perk "Juggernaut" adds mad amounts of armor.

So I take it the best way to train heavy armor is let myself get hit? Can I level it up relatively fast by having a weak enemy (wolf or that big rat) hit me constantly?

Well, that's how I've gotten some Heavy armor points  Just let a bandit hit you for 2% of your HP for a long time. However, I'm almost positive that the harder the enemy the faster it goes up. I remember getting +1 to blocking, heavy armor and 1h when fighting a giant.

Would make sense for it to be "the more damage you take, the faster you level"...

Bandits scale a bit, from what I've seen. As in, when you get higher level there'll be some tougher bandits scattered among the weaker ones (Bandit Outlaw, Bandit Thug) etc. But it's great, gives you a bit of challenge. And makes sense, the tougher bandits are fairly rare and wear armors that make sense. Iron and stuff like that.

Speaking of... fighting a giant, pretty much every hit it does increases my block skill by 1. Same for heavy armor, if i'm not blocking. But that's... quite lethal.

They scale my friedn, they scale.

But not too hard.

They go form hide armor to partially leather and Chiefs go from iron to steel after you made some levels.

No Dwarven armor Bandits crapshit anymore.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

I always though it was :
