It's sad how the gaming worlds lacks melee games with good combat systems... the only two decent I played were Warband and Jedi Outcast/Academy.

Witcher 2 had an OK melee system. It rewarded quick reactions, you could do awesome parries and if you were fast enough you could do parry-chains, never stopping, and basically killing a group of enemies in one movement. And it looked good.

That's true but it wasn't complex enough for me. Was very shallow compared to the games I mentioned. Still a good system though.

Yar, wasn't very complex but at least it was more involving than your usual hack-n-slash RPG combat (.. which skyrim seems to be, sadly)

I would actually like VATS for a game like Skyrim.I found it very nice to play and more roleplay-ish.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Yes, but I can already see how they'll implement it, your character will hold his weapon in front, and basically that will autoblock everything, so dumb.

At least that's how RPG games work.

I have the same feeling. Well I hope the world and story don't disappoint. I also hope it will be atleast somewhat sandboxy or atleast non-linear.

Well, just go Mage, you won´t need to block :D

What Iam really missing sometimes in those RPG´s is a option to play through the whole game almost without violence and still miss nothing.

And more options for RPíng, like a harp or other music instruments, together with a skill for them. You could play in taverns and get "renown" points which help you when you talk to lords or something and want them to do what you want etc.

I would play a travelling bard :/

Well last two RPG's I played, had this silly blocking system, so I guess that's the standard.

(Dark Messiah/Risen for those who are interested.)

On release day I'll be busy watching this

lol, those costumes..
