So far best maplist seems to be on shogunate server. For some reson almost all maps i have seen there feel good and fun to play.
eu2 seemed to be sandvillage after sand village based on observations from our squad, has caused us to ignore that server lately...

Tazjunat. Unbalanced desert village map where the village team just fills the roofs with archers while the attackers take half a minute running forward to their inevitable defeat.

Said this to a mate a while ago, but what we need is dust2 scaled up to city size. That would rock.

edit: My limited time on us server makes me belive they have the best maps.

People are also getting annoyed with the original "Village" map, the one with the little walled town and the main gate, rear gate and small wooden gate by the stables that griefers occasionally hide in. It's getting so one team or the other - usually the one that lost the last round and is on x1 - will put a load of their team in either the central tower or the gate tower where they will stand with bar maces or mauls and crossbows readied to kill anyone who dares enter. The result is rather too many draws if the flags don't appear.

Any suggestions to avoid such a strategy?

With the map as it currently is, there's no real way to avoid it. If a team can occupy either tower with the right mix of fighters, they're there. The map would have to be edited if we want to keep it in the mix of maps. Or mods could simply change the map once it starts happening.

Flags is just about the only way, good luck getting the mob to agree to that tactic though. Village is just a completely unbalanced map, I still have nightmares from native clan matches in villages. Always has been one of my favourites though.

Also I just love that map with the mountain side with a camp, the caravan and the swamps. Props to whomever made that.

Is River Delta still in the map rotation? I think it should be removed or reworked since it really kills fps, way too many bushes I guess.

Less "lul I iz put ladd0rz and kampz villge" maps.

More random plains/etc maps.

That's it.

This bears repeating. Add random plains and steppes there. And fewer what someone termed "protrusion" (not actual term) maps, a map with a large structure sticking out in the middle for no good reason.
