Retiring at 31 is trivially more efficient in terms of XP per loom (a few hundred thousand, I believe), but I definitely prefer retiring at 32.

You spend half as much time as a useless peasant and instead get to spend that time playing with a nicely filled out build... and you get 2 looms + gold to buy your next item!

The downside is that you won't stack up the retirement XP bonus quite as fast, but I'll sacrifice efficiency in the name of fun any day of the week.

(I'm around gen 11-12 right now, and haven't looked back since starting L32 Retirements at gen 5-6)

That's a good idea actually. Takes the stress out of levelling.

Hi all,

I heard on the NA server that if you retire after level 31 you get an extra loom point (ie. level 32 gets 2 looms at retire)

Is there any truth to this or is this just a ruse?

Yeah its total crap you have to have skill/aim now as an archer an not just spray n pray anymore... fuuuu devs

I was actually getting at how there is no more skill than before because for half the bows the arrow still flies off in a random direction from the crosshair, making it more luck and a gamble when you hit someones head at anything other than point blank range.

and you'd do the same thing if archery got buffed.

despite having MW rus bow etc. and Good balance of PD and weapon mastery points in bow, my reticule still goes way too big too soon. If we're supposed to hit heads, at least take the random factor out of archery and revert it back to native style archery so we can actually hit where we aim. The random factor is too large for the reduction in damage.

/2c from frustrated archer who has endured far too many nerfs.

how much less dmg does bow do to body now in %? 'reduced' doesn't mean a lot to me.

I think it is a stupid move also, even moreso because the damage reduction isnt reflected in the bow damage so I dont know how much I'm doing!

if you're going to nerf ranged damage (again!), give us something in return, you've already nerfed the hell out of us. let us shoot under shields properly or give us a faster draw or add pierce back.

I used to melee more as archer when I could carry a half decent melee weapon. The nerfing of amount of arrows carried has forced me to carry a 0 slot weapon if I want to do any decent damage with a bow. I have been forced to kite.

Archers are what suppress the REALLY GOOD MELEE PLAYERS. In Aus, without archers the games would almost always go to one team.
