Lets add a 0 sucky power draw bow and a 0 sucky riding skill horse (already done) so that we can end this pitiful argument.

we already have crossbows and stones. Every cannon fodder can use it without any investments.

The best thing what Thomek did was introducing and advertising of ninja-style and ninja gameplay in 2010. This was good and interesting way of self limiting.
Now Thomek want buff this self-limiting way. And this decision looks strange at least. Especially for a guy who is admin for last 3 years.

* In the past nerfs have kept ranged down to a minimum. Nowadays they often top the scoreboard. If those classes stay competitive, it is detrimental for gameplay, because infantry are squeezed between ranged AND cav. Combos making them even more powerful. (Like getting bumped, then shot)

It is a complete misconception that ranged (or cav for that matter) should be competitive in the first place.

I still remember many melee heroes from 2010. Pity that 99% of them loose a motivation to play this mod with all this constant rebalance mentality.

It is kindergarten for melee already. What kind of boon you propose to give them now Thomek?

bring back 2010 balance. All this balancers kindergarten just irritate. Same with upkeep and slot system. Silly, but market was only one BIG improvement for last 3 years.

I picture balance of the ranged types as an equilateral triangle, where the highest point is archery, and the lowest two, throwing and crossbows.

You can remove or reduce wpf penalty for PT point then. Just to motivate all those rattle-brained heroes to have some ranged ability.

Donkey, we need new gameplay ideas, not those boring 9000 patches with... "ball lance".

Playing with light armor is NOT fun right now. Simply lowering armor values right now, without doing anything else, would make agi melee nearly unbearable. Very few people can play(and enjoy) melee with an agi build using sub 40 armor values. Both ranged, and teamwounds, tear you to pieces. Having half the melee on the server lower their armor by 20, would have drastic side effects. You cannot think of it as simply playing with that equipment in our current meta game.


About drastic affects... do you remember how it was in native? Do you remember max armor rating in native mp? Super dreadnought its local crpg tradition, this armors and some fantasY weapons made current meta game unstable and almost broken. Same with broken upkeep idea.

Normal arrows also can be 0,5 slot. This will encourage hybrids with 1 slot melee weapon.

Leave alone Yumi's arrow speed, it is flavour of this weapon. It's better to buff accuracy instead. Yumi is indeed accurate enough bow IRL.
