The heaviest armours are not the problem the problem is the heavy medium armours with 11-12str req. Loomed with loomed hourglass (12str req) is 62 armour. Too Damn High

^Leshma I understand what you mean but I like to know what i'm fighting by looking at an opponent  :lol:


I think that the team should consider introducing weapons that have similar stats but unique appearances. Of course new unique weapons are always fun they are hard to balance and often leave less specialized weapons redundant. ( the new mace)

Two things this guy could be talking about


1,     Some swings lead into another swing direction more quickly (like quick blocking). There is lots of this in warband and its pretty subtle. So maybe this guy met some opponents that new how to do this well.


2,     Ive noticed 2H seem to cause block stun a lot (considering their weight).
If this is the case, which i believe it is combined with their speed and easy sweet-spot it can probably account for some of the double hitting.

I imagine that what you are seeing is all the ranged alternate characters that have been unplayable for 18 months being used again.


As melee I have noticed no difference at all, as cav a little.
 
I like this patch
-It is now possible to run a melee/archer hybrid.  (Archer char from dec 2010 is useable)
-It is now possible to kill with a low tier bow
-Bodkins are not the only arrow worth using
-More new player archers which are easier to dodge and back slash

This would also stop overseas players from intentionally team wounding/killing in servers that they don't mind being banned from.

But would the reverse apply? Could players with 200+ ping be team hit?

The problem is not the power and strength of a horse in warband and never has been. In cRPG they are weaker than ever.

The problem is how simple they are to control while fighting. They don't bolt, buck, kick or panic. Shield skill should be pretty important for cav as well increasing the build penalty to cav builds. So maybe if lances couldn't manual block or a penalized blocking system using block stun (on horseback) and riders could be thrown from their horse without the horse being killed. Than horses could be much stronger and be used in a sensible way.

The fact that i can roll 21/15 polearm cav and pay no real melee penalty is unbelievable. 1H shield cav is a much more compromised build losing IF and WM/ath. Pressuring cav into sacrificing some melee capability is a fair trade of for stronger horses.

I dont see why under the current system wpf cuts out at 199.

I think after a certain point each level of weapon master should give you the same bonus to wpf. Another issue is the free wpf this is the single most broken thing in cRPG. It should not be 111 it should at absolute most be 60-80. If you decide to roll a sumo wrestler build you should have to pay the price.

running 3 WM compared to 4 is a grand total of 8 wpf this is outright ridiculous.

Also never let the bad guy win in a fair way, have one of his men kick the hero in the back or have him walk away only to throw an axe at the up to that point victorious hero.

 The problem is the hold time. Still a 2H with only one decent attack direction isn't going to be super deadly.

2H strength is that each attck direction is useful most of the time. Polearm and 1H have very conditional attack directions with varying speed and reach.



I would endorse both a 1H and a 2H "sword" (if anyone has played f&s).


A 1H stabbing sword skin does exist in fire and sword. I don't know if we have the appropriate permissions.
