Title: --- CRPG DAILY WORKOUT CHALLENGES ---

weekly challenge:
find yourself either a hill of at least 20 meters or a good pair of stairs and do hill sprints.
it helps your acceleration,  great shit.

try doin them 2 times this week,  at least 8x20m,  after warming up good.
remember to sprint up the stairs if using those,  so that would be probably taking every 3rd to 5th step depending on your fitness.

daily challenge:
fridays challenge:

do 3x10 reverse push ups (http://forum.meleegaming.com/general-off-topic/crpg-daily-workout-challenges/msg794710/#msg794710)

then find something semi heavy and do either bent over rows (usually not with dumbells but a barbell,  disregard pic :D)

which it is probably easier to find a weight for.  I recommend a bucket full of water.

find a weight with which you can do 3x10-16

shit shit shit,  its tuesday night and I didnt start this crap yet.

first the 1week challenge,  which ill always post on mondays:  do 100 pushups until sunday,  june 2nd
(i did my first 30 today with my chest workout,  and will do another 70 on thursday or saturday)

now the tuesday challenge:  do 2x30 crunches or 3x15 situps

3km in 10 minutes is quite an impressive result. I was in ok shape few years ago and run nearly 3km in Coopers test (12min). Trying to do better than that this summer.

well you could use the time:  any goal you have,  be it studying,  training,  whatever,  you may only spend as much time goofing off (tv,  pc games etc.)  as you have spent working on your goal. +1 tho

Started a 30 day ab challenge, however i'm progressing it to be a lot more than 30 days haha.

It begins really easy for you fat slobs

>10 Sit ups
>10 Press ups
>10 Crunches
>10 Leg Raises
>10s plank

I then follow up with lifting weights and a whole range of squats for arm and leg muscle whereas the above completes core muscle, each day you add on what you think you can do, so for me i'm taking it slow and adding 5 per day, by the end of the month it will be something like 150 pressups, 150 sit ups, 120 crunches, 120 leg raises and 120s plank.

^Really good workout

I've been ill for like a week so i went straight in at

>35 press ups
>50 sit ups
>20 crunches
>35 leg raises
>40s plank
>20s reverse plank
>50 Two legged squats
>20 One legged Squats (per leg) (lean squat)
>75 weight reps

Add running and swimming starting next week and i'll be fit as a fiddle, but ye after being ill for around a week it's surprising how unfit i am

fridays challenge:
reverse push ups/ incline pullups (again I aint sure about right name)

-you can use the edge of a desk/table to pull yourself up,  or put a broomstick or sth similar between two elevated things (chairs,  shelf),  be creative,  but be safe!
having your palms face towards or away from you makes a difference! a wide and a narrow gripp too! try it out.

do at least three sets,  try to perform at least as many reps until you feel it becoming hard,  and try to do the last set until failure
keep your core stable,  and dont cheat yourself :D

Supermans are easy as shit, no offense, same with planks, they only burn as part of some sort of finisher, after you've done your main exercises

Few exercises:

Planks with 45lb plate(or something eqiuvently of) on your back, maybe hard to balance and might need some assistance from someone else.

6 inches: lie on your back, like your prepared to do a sit-up, keeping your legs straight(that's the hard part) bring them about 6inchs off the ground, maybe a inh or too more depending on who you are, hold that position, arms at your side, head flat on ground, for atleast 30secs

Burpees: too lazy to describe them, but aren't too hard, until you've hit about 30

Explosive push-ups: cause diamond push-ups are pussy shit

You should definitely invest in some weight-lifting equipment or join a gym, you'd be suprised how stress-relieving pumping iron is, xD
And get some protein in ya!

no, but it doesnt build up, some steps from the one to the other exercise difficulty are basically impossible because you dont have the technique and the strenght yet.

Tried to do the hand-stand push-up 3 weeks ago. When I finally got myself in the right position I was like "Now how do I push myself down?". Quite funny, I was unable to move, felt so disoriented.

i just did something between 3/4 and full one leg squats. without support, i managed to do 3 on each leg already. Lets see if i can do more :D

be sure to have a good warmup before doing 1leg full pistol squats... also think about why you are doing them and look for a less straining alternative if you arent trying to reach a goal that needs them.  my 2cents only ofc...


this weeks challenge:  vertical jump test.  do 3-10 jumps a day,  and note your highest result.  we will do this again in a month and hopefully you will have improved.

 v-jump test:  find a high wall either with certain marks,  or one you that you can filth around with.  then,  put chalk onto your fingertips (or mud or jelly whatever leaves a mark),  and jump as high as possible, hitting the wall at pinical hight.  then measure between a standing hands up mark and the jumping one to find out how high it is.

i will try doing it today with my legs work out,  but might not make it until tomorrow.  busy day...

Best way to get yourself to the gym or outside to actually do some work-out is to have a friend who is also wanting to start exercising and get your asses together and do it together for maybe 2-4 weeks, then  you should have the "motivation" to do it by yourself or doing it more with your friend, compete to see who gets the six-pack or the biggest muscles first :P

I always have a flock of 2-4 guys n girls working out with me,  in some phases one or the other is there more frequent then the others, its great.

its also my greatest motivation:  being the driving motor of these other folks.  maybe the one or the other of you guys needs just that:  become the guy kicking other people in the nads to come along training :)

ofc you have to be a good rolemodel and have discipline and all that.  but consider it.  get your friends to train with you.

todays challenge:  abs.  either  do your own or do a variant of this:

20 crunches and standing body twist warmup
a) several sets of 20-50 bicycle crunches
(click to show/hide)
b) several sets of plank with alternating leg lift to finish you off


a) do at least 3 sets of 20 or 2 sets of 50
b) do at least 2 sets if you dont manage more than 30 seconds,  at least one set if you manage more than 45 seconds

example:
warmup
4x25 bicycle crunches
50second,  50 second, 30 second planks

but again:  do your own mix,  see what works for you!

Lucky bastard, I'm stuck working out with bout 20-30 douchebags other guys, all crammed into the schools tiny weight room, with some coach screaming at us while we're lifting. That room and the surrounding hallways all smell like ass and sweat, it's horrible

Today I lifted 6 pieces of chicken dippers at wienerschnitzel, dipping each one back down into a sauce before finally lifting back up to my mouth. Fork lifted chili cheese fries on the side to supplement the chicken lifts. Sips of soda here and there as well, but I don't know if that counts.

Guess it'll work out fine since I train in my basement and its from the 70 / 80s and the door is pretty much perfect for a bar. Tried to use the metal bars hanging in the ceiling, but they were too dusty and fragile.

fridays challenge:

do 3x10 reverse push ups (http://forum.meleegaming.com/general-off-topic/crpg-daily-workout-challenges/msg794710/#msg794710)

then find something semi heavy and do either bent over rows (usually not with dumbells but a barbell,  disregard pic :D)

or do 1 arm "barbell" row

which it is probably easier to find a weight for.  I recommend a bucket full of water.

find a weight with which you can do 3x10-16


anyone still using this thread in one way or another?

this weeks challenge:
find yourself either a hill of at least 20 meters or a good pair of stairs and do hill sprints.
it helps your acceleration,  great shit.

try doin them 2 times this week,  at least 8x20m,  after warming up good.
remember to sprint up the stairs if using those,  so that would be probably taking every 3rd to 5th step depending on your fitness.

Dumbbell Random lifting (didn't count)

Dips 2x 30 (felt lazy)

Overhead dumbbell (dunno what its called)

Chin-ups triceps and biceps 10 x 5

You mean overhead squats? I think that's what you mean and if so, awesome. Those are great for the core.

I see that a lot.  my main work out buddy,  way better genetics than me,  great body.  and he likes his girls well proportioned but not at all toned.

todays challenge:  find one or two larger muscle groups,  and do 2-3 sets for each muscle.  examples would be

legs:  frog jumps,  step ups, lunge walk.

Run quite a steep hill up 11 times yesterday at full speed, nearly puked after that :rolleyes:

nice dude!  i have one of the weels,  they are a great thing to mix things up,  but not necessary : )  do bycicle crunches a lot mate,  they activate abs and obliques most of the usual home exercises : )
