Title: バナナ Laughing Shogunate
Post by: Ninja_Khorin on October 13, 2012, 03:15:26 am
So, another one of these threads, eh? I can hear the sighs all the way here. I figured that before I’ll do my announcement I’m going to write something about my experiences and perspective in the Shogunate.

---

In a quiet bar, on the outskirts of Sekhtem, I met my old friend Khorin for a drink.  His army was encamped to the east, my caravans occupied the south.  We drank, and talked of the future.  He was marching off to war, with no intent to return.  It was blood and vengeance that called him, war and chaos that summoned him, though as always his fierce convictions played a part.  I smiled as he told me of his intent, for while trading had been good to me, his words reminded me of an older purpose.  War, my first love, was asking me to dance once more.  The drums began to beat within my head.  It was just a moment's conversation, a chance meeting with an old friend.  It changed everything.

Khorin vanished, as is his wont, and I tried to continue drinking, but the ale no longer held any allure.  I was caught, as surely as if Armagan himself had called to me.  In a way he had.  War, after all, was a desire he had placed within me.  I returned to my camp with a smile on my face, dusting off my sword before I summoned the officers to attend.  "Gentlemen, it is time we put this wealth of ours to use.  It is time we draw sword.  It is time we draw arrow.  Ah, you know what, forget the speech.  Lets go to war."

There was no hesitation.  In moments, the camp was a flurry of activity.  Medici would march.

Fighting alongside you against the evil invading force of the Hospitallers? My my... I have to say, this is quite the romantic idea and a beautiful one at that. I must offer you my cunning and bow expertise in every battle that I am available for as long as the desert is being oppressed by them. I will not accept any payment, for the honor I will receive from doing this is more meaningful then having all of the riches in Calradia. Let us show these armor crutching godophile's how ninjas fight.... and that is dirty. :)

Okay I broke down and read it and I guess that isn't too bad, I think I actually feel empathy for poor old Khorin.  His predecessors both crumpled like tin cans under the weight of an obese walmart shopper.

And it seems as though this one is a bit more mature and can handle some forum BS, unlike the other two who apparently had spines made of tooth picks.

Aww damn, the fun is going away .

Thank you. This time, though, we are not alone. The effect will be all the stronger.

Was wondering how long that would take :)

It was nice having the Ninja clan on the NA side of Strat.

It was fun to see the NA side of Strategus. That was probably the most interesting part this Strat. Entering an arena where everyone is a stranger. And frankly, achieving the same level of success as we did here would have been impossible in EU. And yes, I do consider this a success. It was quick, it was bloody, it was epic and most of all it's soon over.

Of course, you were the one who made this all possible. You and Nomin got me in contact with Remnants and you handed me Halmar so I could assume my role. You negotiated all the deals and negotiated for the independence of Chevaliers. I only did what was left to do and organized the army to move on. All of this would not have been possible without you and Nomin doing most of the work before you left and helping me afterwards.

I only tied all the loose ends.

Not much of a Declararion of war against Hosp but we know your Target. We arnt the big alliance you need to worry about We are allied to kutt and Chevalier but that is all however We are friendly with msot of EU and msot of NA. We were once even friendly with the Shogunate so your  turn against that friendship will be remembered. The reason why clans like hospitallers become large is because We fight against larger clans like Tkov and BRD who always try to destroy smaller clans or  force them to submit to there leadership.

To any new starter non troll clans that this has happened to your not alone out there just contact the right people and help will come.

as for the War with shogunate and LLJK hospitaller will begin to show full force for LLjks side.

I'm confused. So you gave away the Shogunate fiefs and concentrated everything that was left in one big army that goes to war against everything big and organized?
Sounds like you would make a fine member for the United Democratic National Workers Salvation Front for the Liberation of Calradia.

So who is the UIF equivalent in NA anyway?
Title: Re: バナナ Laughing Shogunate

So who is the UIF equivalent in NA anyway?

There really isn't one. You have Hospitallers/Kutt/Chevaliers as a group and that's about it in terms of official Alliances. Next closest alliance would be Hero Party/TKoV although it seems to be more common enemies rather than a straight alliance. A lot of neutral clans though.

Pretty much. Currently my goal is to liberate Hero Party fiefs, after that if there are any other major factions mucking about in the desert against smaller clans, I may attack them until I run out of troops and/or gold. This includes any major faction attacking smaller ones in the desert.

And yeah. Feel free to sign up against our battles with LLJK.

As, Auphilia aptly put. We are going down laughing. Our army is a band of lots and lots of jolly samurai :)

Don't lie about this, the FCC denied allying with you and Kutt because they don't want to make a mega alliance. You became large because you want to be the super powerful force that wins strat by sheer number of members.

You are picking on a small clan and you are trying to take all their land. If you went just after that castle because of conflict with the guy giving it up, I can understand that. But you're systematically targeting all their towns and raiding their caravans to try and wipe them from the map. You are the big bully in strat and you started all of this, so deal with the fall out.

We dont even want to wipe them out fully we simply want our castle back, the best way to do that is wipe out the economy. We do plan to leave them land and hope for a peacefull outcome in the end that does not end in them being forced from there. Meanwhile clans like Velucan Empire are using  opertunities like this to gain a foothold closer to our lands to engage in war against us. You ovisly dont know much about the hospitallers. We are the ones that usualy defend the non goon clans that are forced into alliances or get destroyed. We also dont plan on keeping any of the land in the south other then samara castle.  who ever convinced you to go against us is using you im affraid And it hurts to see a clan that was once  on friendly/neutral terms to do this. there are a few small clans in the desert  as well now not only hero party that are threatened by your army as well as VE if they got attacked would you attack VE as well then?

Title: Re: バナナ Laughing Shogunate
Post by: Smoothrich on October 15, 2012, 03:08:51 am
There are a few small clans in the desert, and Hero_Party was being diplomatic with all of them.  Hospitallers ordered their pawns to do Hosp bidding in crushing anyone that held an interest opposing Hosps, such as forcing Chevalieres to attack a castle they had no interest in, to the point that Chevs just wanted to declare independence and be on their way.

Not even just that, the Hospitallers tried to engineer a false peace between Shogunate and LLJK, simply so they could order these clans into the Hospitaller alliance and invade Hero_Party, promising LLJK the Hero_Party fiefs in exchange for Shogunate taking LLJK's.  This would only be possible with the complete genocide of Hero_Party players and claims in the desert, and was basically the most laughable attempt at stacking the odds in Hosps favor I've seen yet.

The best thing is, no one is manipulating anyone against Hosp these wars.  No one ever had a grand plan.  You guys simply reached too far, thinking you could bumble through Strategus as a bunch of arrogant, omnipotent warlords of the world, commanding any minor faction in your path to Join Or Die, as the last months of Strat 3.0 probably did nothing but give you false, empty confidence in your power and ability.

But when you take the EU alliances on our doorsteps away, take away thousands of duped lordly plate and cav, hundreds of thousands of duped gold, and replace an apathatic, cynical Strat playerbase bored of 8 months of a bad Strat and replace it with clans in NA looking for a new start, to not get bossed around, to not be beholden to every Hospitaller whim, what do you get?

What you see before you.  Hosp army after army slaughtered in the sand, allies turning their backs, new powers rising inspired by Hospitaller war crimes and injustice to bring suffering to your homeland as you have done to mine.  If you ever want it to end, it won't be because you got a bullshit claim on a hacked castle you didn't deserve.  It will be when you reconsider how you play the game, the deals you make, the shit you post, and come to the table begging for peace and mercy as a weakened husk of the invincible empire you thought you were.  Only then will I accept peace.

Until then.. send more troops

Exactly, it's the forum warrior 101st fighting keyboardists.  I still don't see how anyone can think that we were the aggressive ones when one our vassal's who was lord of a castle, lost his castle to a hostile takeover by hero_party.  But we're the aggressors.

Also about the mega alliances, the velucan empire is the same size with their 3 allied factions as kutt and hospitaller are.  Not to mention shogunate's 2000+ troops and hero_party, and you have a hell of a lot more people fighting on your side than we do.

I don't really see what shogunate is going to do in the desert that tkov wasn't already going to do.

It's funny because your "Vassal" isn't even with you anymore. The original lord has no connections to the hospi's anymore, he is in HG.... and once again, Samarra was attacked as a faction less castle and Weewum told me they were not your vassals nor allies, just friends. Leave the desert and let us small clans have fun and be nice traders.

Good God, yes. If it was TKoV and Hero Party versus Chevaliers, I would have shown up on the side of the Chevs. Hell, even LLJK would have received assistance from me, if they had been invaded by you big boys.

You think I have been manipulated in joining this resistance. Au contraire. Sticking it up to someone that can easily field thousands of troops to counter mine was exactly what I had hoped for. And to see them complain about it is beyond my wildest dreams. I only learned of TKoV's plans after I had already decided on my course of war. And no, I do not care that you will consider us hostile from now. Because this is the last act of the Josho Shogunate. Your intel on us seem to be outdated by about a week atleast.

By the way, apparently LLJK is attacking Mazigh, so to get one last good scrap with them, anyone is free to apply. I have no idea what gear we have there, but I'm sure it'll be fun! :)

Now they try to form alliance with all of desert against 10-man faction - it simply doesn't get more cowardly than that.  They should be careful - showing you are a paper tiger will tempt the carrion eaters to come out and feast on your rotting bloated corpse.  Easy meat is the best meat!!! I wonder why FCC keeps getting lumped in. We are not part of this war other than mercing however the individual members see fit. If I see one more accusation about us I will gladly bring a vote on war to the council and find a way to push it thru. We are doing our own thing.

My favorite was when Auphelia accused you guys of being in a secret alliance with us since 3 of you merc'd for us, while 3 FCC members were mercing for them.

SWF is relieved that FCC is now (publicly) an ally, having provided mercenary support at least one time in the past. We've decided to go to war against the following factions, starting now, and expect full support from FCC:

Went surprisingly well considering I had no idea what gear we had and recruited everyone 30min before the battle started. Mainly from EU gutters. :P

This is where I compare players from EU gutters to NA top players and get downvoted by Berenger.

I think the 'let's all get on a roof, while we have no shields and no ranged' tactic really paid off.

We had rocks! Many a knight got bruises from our mighty farmerhands lobbing rocks at them. It worked in Star Wars.

I rushed in there up the roof with Heavy Heavy Armor. (Plate of Coats, tincan boots and plate helmet) and got completely raped by you peasants. You stunlocked me and archers aimed at my head and a guy with pierce club got bugged and confused me and hit me repeatedly lol.

Good job.

He forgot to mention all of EU and Muki as well, though I am a little more scared of Muki than the UIF (how can you ever be scared of big old carebears, so fuzzy and cuddly) and Muki is pretty intimidating.  Dont worry we expect SWF to do most of the work, as part of our secret alliance they have been quietly recruiting 1000 members from Reddit and other gamer guilds and will be amassing 100K armies within the month.  Total annihilation will be enjoyed by all - complete equality through total destruction, the bridgeburner/anarchist way!!!

LLJK: 163 of 435 killed

Josho Shogunate: 270 of 270 killed.

We had default peasant equipment and higher pings so it went pretty well overall. Until we ran out of stones that is...

not to mention that we are secretly allied with all the clans that swf want to declare war on, so we will really just be sitting back and winking and nodding alot while pretended we are involved in the war.

I have decided to transfer Tazjunat temporarily to my control. If Astralis leadership is unaware of this, it may be because they were uninformed of this transfer.

I will trade a fief for Tazjunat back as quickly as is standard in trades, i.e. 24 hours and counting.

But that wouldn't bother you because they're not your allies are they? And same with Chevaliers because they were never your vassals and STILL aren't...right?

Right, because friends are either allies or vassals. The good ol' black and white dichotomy.

we're pretty much allied to chevaliers.

Why would hypocrasy not bother me? He states he's gonna get rid of major alliances in the desert, and when hosp gives away all their lands in the desert he starts attacking the smaller clans that's trying to live there while not attacking for example tkov.

Just proves that he's full of it.

Who's attacking smaller clans? And you're allied to Chevs? Sigh....first you're allied to chevs, then you're not and they were never your vassals and then they declare they're independent and then they're allies or what not.

I'm not attacking TKoV because Smoothrich assured me that they would not be staying there. I must've frightened off all of you big ones. Pretty zen, though. Winning a war without fighting a single battle.

And I'm not attacking Astralis. I'm trading with them, except I'll be quicker in trading something in return apparently.
I need to compensate for my losses due to this delay. The rest of Astralis's stuff doesn't really interest me. They don't have armies large enough to negotiate with me.

You know, honestly, when I started this I was hoping for plenty of battles or a few big ones until I get killed. Not this running away tactics. That's just boring. I'm expecting Hosps to raise a proper army for a proper fight. I have no interest in this strat business apart from fighting. So, the best way to get rid of me is to destroy my forces. Don't worry, they're equipped with weaboo stuff, so it shouldn't be much of a challenge.

Anyway. I am accepting anyone who wishes to help me in my current trading venture. Sign up for the negotiations 9.20 EST or so. I'll be accepting everyone(or the best ones if I run out of slots). Plenty of stuff to wear.

If you are referring to Habba, we are waiting on a hero party member to enter it so we can transfer it to them. The only reason we took it in the first place was to stop a potential reset that hospi could have done.

Although it was always inevitable that we would hospitaller, our natural rival, the timing had absolutly nothing to do with the past.

The fact is hero party allows us free trade in desert and hospitaller would not, or would at least require something on our part. Whether hero party knew this would make us protect them or not idk, but a free to compete desert is very important for our economy. If hero party had the same trade restrictions as hospi i know for a fact we wouldnt care what happened to them.

For the rest of these clans, most of them have chosen to be hostile because of your fail diplomacy and shitposters. Everyone can see and laugh at your diplomats that have some power zerg for being the ones to communicate all of your dealings, yet each one is so terribly disconected from what goes on.

But you had to see this coming, you had a faction that claimed way more then it is capable of holding and then said faction allies with a faction with the exact same circumstances.
