So, another one of these threads, eh? I can hear the sighs all the way here. I figured that before I’ll do my announcement I’m going to write something about my experiences and perspective in the Shogunate.

TLDR version:

---

In a quiet bar, on the outskirts of Sekhtem, I met my old friend Khorin for a drink.  His army was encamped to the east, my caravans occupied the south.  We drank, and talked of the future.  He was marching off to war, with no intent to return.  It was blood and vengeance that called him, war and chaos that summoned him, though as always his fierce convictions played a part.  I smiled as he told me of his intent, for while trading had been good to me, his words reminded me of an older purpose.  War, my first love, was asking me to dance once more.  The drums began to beat within my head.  It was just a moment's conversation, a chance meeting with an old friend.  It changed everything.

Khorin vanished, as is his wont, and I tried to continue drinking, but the ale no longer held any allure.  I was caught, as surely as if Armagan himself had called to me.  In a way he had.  War, after all, was a desire he had placed within me.  I returned to my camp with a smile on my face, dusting off my sword before I summoned the officers to attend.  "Gentlemen, it is time we put this wealth of ours to use.  It is time we draw sword.  It is time we draw arrow.  Ah, you know what, forget the speech.  Lets go to war."

There was no hesitation.  In moments, the camp was a flurry of activity.  Medici would march.

Fighting alongside you against the evil invading force of the Hospitallers? My my... I have to say, this is quite the romantic idea and a beautiful one at that. I must offer you my cunning and bow expertise in every battle that I am available for as long as the desert is being oppressed by them. I will not accept any payment, for the honor I will receive from doing this is more meaningful then having all of the riches in Calradia. Let us show these armor crutching godophile's how ninjas fight.... and that is dirty. :)

I do remember the Strat 1 battle and you served the ninjas well.  May you be even more successful against the NA equivalent of UIF.

Okay I broke down and read it and I guess that isn't too bad, I think I actually feel empathy for poor old Khorin.  His predecessors both crumpled like tin cans under the weight of an obese walmart shopper.

And it seems as though this one is a bit more mature and can handle some forum BS, unlike the other two who apparently had spines made of tooth picks.

Aww damn, the fun is going away .

I love how most EU players insert an imaginary "f" into my name: Winterfly.

Thank you. This time, though, we are not alone. The effect will be all the stronger.

Was wondering how long that would take :)

It was nice having the Ninja clan on the NA side of Strat.

It was fun to see the NA side of Strategus. That was probably the most interesting part this Strat. Entering an arena where everyone is a stranger. And frankly, achieving the same level of success as we did here would have been impossible in EU. And yes, I do consider this a success. It was quick, it was bloody, it was epic and most of all it's soon over.

Of course, you were the one who made this all possible. You and Nomin got me in contact with Remnants and you handed me Halmar so I could assume my role. You negotiated all the deals and negotiated for the independence of Chevaliers. I only did what was left to do and organized the army to move on. All of this would not have been possible without you and Nomin doing most of the work before you left and helping me afterwards.

I only tied all the loose ends.
