Few months back Auphilia contacted me about creating an alliance of weaboo clans in hope of creating a Shogunate in Strategus. His plan was to ignore the rest of the map and have a civil war within the shogunate instead. To me, at the time, I thought it was a little naïve based on my previous experiences in strategus, but a lot of ninjas had asked me why we don’t participate in strat. I always answered, that it’s because strat is too time consuming and boring to a clan with this level of activity. This however presented an opportunity where ninjas could participate without me having to do much of the leading.
When Strat launched, we had a TKoV “subclan” within the Shogunate, which didn’t work out. After a small disagreement with TKoV over our lands around Nomar, we eventually reached an agreement and settled in Peshmi (referring to ninja owned fiefs). So, after consolidating our position in that area we decided to attack LLJK’s caravan. It was fat with loot and frankly, I fully supported any action to go to war, hoping it would either lead to a victory or a quick end to my already bored out of my mind attitude to Strat. During that, I had had to go away for the weekend, and Nomin, thankfully, stepped up to lead the Ninjas in my absence. When I got back I noticed a genuine interest in Nomin to lead Strat, and I did one of the meanest things I had done in a while. I let him.
War progressed, we captured a village and LLJK seemed to throw random peasant armies at us to slow us down. Life was pretty good, I thought. Around this time Nomin was also complaining about how he hated Strat, and Auphilia was complaining about being the only one leading. Both of them started in my opinion to take Strat a little too personally. I still to this day have nothing against LLJK, other than some minor issues regarding their attitude toward server rules. Like promoting leeching and teaching how to lie to get unbanned. A little disappointing. This however, was an issue with some individual members and not with the clan as a whole. Regardless.
Then, a bunch of drama happened and activity within the Shogunate was on an all-time low, with only about 7 relatively active guys including me. Trolling on one side, taking things too personally on the other. After a week of complaints, Nomin quit. Auphilia quit right after, not bearing to be truly alone in leading. Suddenly I woke up one morning as a leader once again as the last relatively active leader, since the Shogun of the Shogunate was never around.
My goals here on out were relatively simple, but somewhat complex to achieve. Yet, I had a plan and I actively strived for it until today. I had no interest in leading a prolonged war against LLJK. I have my own real life worries, and as stated earlier, strat is pretty balls really. However, my work has finally been successful, and now I can see the Finnish line, pardon the pun. My plans were to essentially to fulfill all the agreements the Shogunate made during the past leadership to the best of my ability.
And that brings us to the announcement I am about to make. I doubt many or any of you will remember this, but back in fall 2010 I led the last charge of the Ninjas in Strat 1 against DRZ as a stand against the forming of huge clans and alliances forming in Strat. More DRZ blood was drawn that day than Ninja blood. And by some twist of fate, here I am, damn near 2 years afterwards at it again.
The Last Charge of the Samurai
I hereby announce that the Josho Shogunate considers the desert to be independent and will be resisting any mega-alliances invading on its sacred soil. We will march to the aid of the Hero Party and we will fight the enemy where ever they may be. The Hero Party was always fair to the Josho Shogunate and this is my way of thanking you for the excellent and outstanding character you have showed. Our armies shall echo through eternity.
Remnants, our closest friends. You were the best friend a group of weaboos could hope for. To you we testament our lands. May you tend to our crops and remember the samurai and shinobi's that died to protect it.
Chevaliers. I realize you never really had any contact with me. However, I actively pushed Auphilia to promote your independence in the hopes of creating an independent area in strategus, as was the Shogunate's plan in the beginning. My wish is that you do not throw it all away. I also implore you to protect the desert from anyone who wishes to oppress it and claim it to themselves, even your former masters.
LLJK, you were a worthy opponent and I throughly enjoyed each time we met on the battlefield. I am not here to declare victory over you. I am here to ask you to prove to the world once and for all the might of the unbeatable few, and the power that you have so often claimed! Join us in our march as brothers and drive the invaders out!
TKoV. The trade dispute we had, was a small matter that was blown out of proportion. It was a failure by the command structure and all the individual players within it and I hope that this will repay for what little damage we did.
Gmnotutoo. You are truly a master ninja. Will you join us in our campaign? Weaboo with weaboo, as was meant to be. I apologize for not being able to battle you. It would have been great fun. I hope that this will do.
To all those who would resist foreign oppressors and recognize the independence of the desert. Join us and stand by your word! Those who disliked us due to our seemingly pro-hospitaller attitudes. March with us and show use what it means to truly oppose those you so hate!
And finally, to hospitallers. I do not hate you. You are a victim of circumstances, as are all of us. And relinquishing power is hard when you have it and it is so easy to abuse for personal gain and not for the gain of the weak. To you I have only this to say:
This is the last gesture of the Josho Shogunate and the one I wish it to be judged by.
