Nice guide, thank you.
I have 1 question though... is Long Hafted Blade a good option for cavalry? Its seems a bit hard to hit targets with this weapon for me, but i like this weapon.

It was very good in an early state of crpg, I was using it too besides the lance, but now there are 2 major points against it:

1. you can't switsch to another weapon cause you'll drop the long hafted blade
2. the hit animation on horse is really weird making it nearly impossible to hit something near.

I would prefer a lance.

Is destrier useful for a lancer. If so what would be the best build to use it with.

Personally the destrier is a bit too slow for me, but it has a good handling and is very durable :D High hit points and great charge damage. If you wanna go pure lancer with less athletics put more pints in riding so go 15/21 or if you can vonvert more points 18/21 or 15/ 24 and max out riding.

This guide has Son of Odin's seal of approval. Good tips on builds and Toffi is old school cavalry man who knows his stuff.

I would recommend only using the minimum agility needed for your riding difficulty (so 15 agility for a destrier).  Having 6 or 7 riding on a destrier won't see much difference versus 5 riding (in speed and maneuverability).  However, you will notice a big difference between 5 powerstrike, and 7.

My horses of recommendation would be these 4 (depending on how much riding/agility you want to invest):  Rouncey, Destrier, Courser, Arabian.

Is rouncey an exception to this? Or it is ok even with 3 riding?
I always thought that 5 riding is "must have" for any cav player...

I'd still only use 3 riding if you plan on using a rouncey.  If you have 5 riding, then I'd suggest getting on a destrier :P

I don't notice much difference between 6 riding on a rouncey and 3 riding.  I also won't be on to test this until Weds, but I was going to say, if you know someone with 3 riding we can both jump on a rouncey and do a drag race :P

I always thought that 5 riding is "must have" for any cav player...

at least last year,  I saw a significant difference between 3 and 6 riding on a rouncey.  especially a champ rouncey is very good with 6 riding,  and wasnt it for  the lower hps,  would be a great alternative to the courser for example.
