All diplomacy with the Guild will be handled by Guard_BD_Bjarky. If another Faction needs to get in touch with us (Tristan, Bjarky, Tennenoth) specifically, they may PM them or get on our TS channel. There is always the possibility of speaking to other Guard Members, but the real Diplomacy is to be handled with Bjarky.

The Guild:

The Guild of Caravan Guards and Merchants will be a group of enterprising players who are dedicated to ensuring that Caravans have a safe journey through the war-torn land.

The members will be divided into two categories once Strategus is released: Merchants and Guards.
This division is to ensure the smooth operation of the Guild.

Guard Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Guard, your main concern will be fighting. You will be employed mainly to guard caravans. Contracts from factions and landowners will come through me, and I will assign contracts to Guards in a fair manner. Guards with less money or experience will get priority, and Guards who haven't had a contract for a long period of time will also get priority.
I will post non-sensitive contracts when I recieve them, and you can sign up for them.

You will also be asked to undertake other duties that are assigned to you by me or one of my deputies. These may include anything from a shopping trip to hiring yourself for a battle. You are not obliged to accept these requests - you may decline. However, if you decline too many, I will stop asking and you will miss out on the more lucrative contracts.

However, Guards are free to merc for battles where they see fit, and free to choose what to do when they are not under contract. I will try not to assign tasks to Guards who are engaged with their own personal goals - if you have signed up for a battle, I won't demand that you cancel your application in order to complete a task.
There may be cases in which I ask you not to fight in a particular battle, in which case I will PM you. Don't worry, this would only be for a very good reason.

To summarise, the main Guard duties are:
1) Applying for contracts to guard Caravans or groups of merchants
2) Applying as a mercenary for battles in which the Guild wants you to participate
3) Completing general tasks which I ask you to do.
4) In your free time (when you are not under a request by me or one of my deputies), you may engage in whatever activities you wish, unless it conflicts with Guild plans, in which case I will PM you.

Merchant Duties and Responsibilities:

As a merchant, you will be required to become a dedicated Caravan Guild Member. This means that none of your other characters may belong to another cRPG group. You may of course have other characters who are not in the Guild, but those characters must not belong to another group. I am aware that spies will play a part in Strategos, and any spies that are discovered will be dealt with appropriately.

As a merchant, you will recieve your orders from me and my deputies. You will undertake all of the duties and responsibilities of a Guard, but in addition you will carry out the top level operations of the Guild.
Unfortunately I can't say much more about this here, but if you are aiming to become a Merchant, be aware that the 'top level' operations of the Guild will often be boring, tedious, dull, and may require a lot of work. They may also interfere with your regular activities as a Caravan Guard, and with your free time in Strategos.

Merchants will recieve regular PMs with information on the 'top level' plans of the guild.

Please be polite and respectful in game. Diplomacy will play an important part in Strategos, and we don't want to offend potential employers. Remember that with the Guard_ -tag, you represent the Guild.
You may swear and rage all you like, but please refrain from any sexist, racist, homophobic or in any way predjudiced language.

In order to change your name:

1. Only changes to a clan or guild tag are allowed, you can't change your whole name except if you retire. You can, however, add Guard_ to the front.
2. Login to the character site using your old name and password.
3. At the top of the character page, there is an option called Settings, wherein there is the option for "Change your name to". Type in your wished name and an admin will deal with it shortly.
4. This process takes a short time - about a day at most. However, if you complain about it on the forums or in-game, chadz raises that time to a week So just be patient.

It's easier putting them there than just saying "They are friendly to us and we to them. We got the same enemies, so we are friends."

Allies is just shorter. One could even say that we would be allied to pretty much everyone, being a trading-oriented faction, but as we now got enemies, we also should have allies.

Since we you did some great work for CoCo back then I would love to have know about an alliance between Guards and the Children of the green Sun (Short: CotgS).

If somebody needs to remember:
I was the one with the Riding Morningstar-Bride-Battle against DRZ.

If you need me in steam or something just ask Tennenoth, he got me in his Friendlist, he was/is my negotiations-partner if I need something from the Guards.
