Tl;dr: New weapons/items should be added in an attempt to breathe new life into this mod, and seeing how these were the first new polearms in a while*, I was looking forward to their arrival. Unfortunately, their arrival kinda fell flat due to lackluster stats and in-game appearance. There is no real reason to use the latene atm due to being quite severely underpowered, nor the yari, due it to being a butt-ugly eyesore :wink:. The Tiger fork is the only "usable" new weapon added and to be fair the entire fork family of polearms has always been a bit of a niche anyways. On a side note, the prices of all of these may want to be adjusted a bit. For instance the yari would actually be a pretty good pick for a strat weapon, especially earlier in the round. As it stands it is nearly as cheap as the bamboo spear, but a good deal better. Looking at the model I would have assumed it'd be among the more expensive polearms, closer in price perhaps to the naginata. The latene looks a bit too fancy to be priced among the cheaper polearms, especially considering the flambard/flamberge are among the most expensive 2hs (and if it costs more then the proposed buffs shouldn't be as big of an issue). At the very least there is no reason why the yari is cheaper than the tiger fork.

Hey i made the stats for the tiger fork! As for the yari, i wasnt aware of it ever even being considered as 4d, i was pretty surprised when it was 2d lol

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

At l east for the long maul, it'd be great to bring back the old model and make it a different wep tbh. Poles need a low-req crusthrough wep similar to the mallet or maul that 2hs have. Always been a niche that has yet to be filled in the polearm arsenal... the polehammer was destined to be the chosen one but alas it was turned into a shitty bec wannabe.

Yeah...kinda.  The shared material for these new weapons lists bump/specular maps that are wrong.  That's probably where the complaints on appearance are coming from.

the hussar helmet has no model

Someone forgot to add the brf for the hussar helmets to the module.ini in the patcher input.  Either that or the patcher itself is buggy.  This can be fixed at the player-side by adding the line

load_mod_resource = zimke_helmets to your module.ini.
WSE2 gives us the key to a wonderful world of butthurt...
