I finally took my lazy ass the time to switch out my gpu to the 560ti i had saved. And indeed it was the 670 that had broken down. Will see if i have a reciept around so mabe i can get a refund or a new one.
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.
Can't believe there are inept developers out there who make games that can brick your GPU. I don't know how logical this sounds to you but if I were you, I would do whatever it takes to sue those damn bastards. This is inacceptable.
It's never the game's responsibility to protect your hardware. It's the driver's responsibility. That said, most games do not actually test those limits.
550w PSU is what i have, so anything that can go with that, read that 970 can, and since that seems to be a safe bet for future games too for not too much moolah, ill probably get one.
Still this is the first time I am hearing about a GPU-maiming game. Have there been any other examples?
I've heard of games that have no FPS limit in their menus and those are simplistic and undemanding enough to make the FPS go sky-high. Dunno if that's the case here.
