You do understand that probably the only way you will pay back those debts is by significantly lowering your standards of living?
Not really, the major problem with Greece is that we stopped producing things, and we focused on tourism. If we managed to change that, and start producing things again, mostly farming and dairy products, I believe that we would be able even to increase our standards of living.
Austerity leads to poverty, and poverty means less payments on the government, payment on loans etc etc.
And besides, even if we lowered our standards of living, with an unemployment rate of 30% I doubt that the debt can be repaid in a logical amount of time.
On the other hand, the more working people, the more money to get.
Greece, and most of the EU countries, need growth measures and not austerity ones.
