Austerity leads to poverty, and poverty means less payments on the government, payment on loans etc etc.
That's a misleading thing stuck in heads of Greeks. Zero austerity leads to poverty. Austerity doesn't only mean that decreasing salary or firing people.
You live according to your financial possibilities. You don't drive Ferrari if you barely scrap money for the gas (even if you used to be rich enough to handle it in the past). You would be surprised by the amount of money you could potentially save (save equals earn).
The whole situation happened because Greece was like: We'll earn over 9000 moneyz next year. Creditors: No, you won't, you need some certain measures to prevent bullcrap. Greece: No, we're fine, fuck off.
This shit happened like 5 years straight ago. No doubt nobody wants to credit Greece any more.
And when bullcrap started happening Greece started seeking for creditors that don't wanna force Greece to take austerity measures.
Ukraine is at military conflict, lost 3 regions out of 24, had a shitload of debts that were used by Yanukovych the same way Greece did. And we still try to handle things. And this is not a country of efficient Germans but of useless slavs. Instead of crying "Malaka, I can't work more than 30 minutes a day and after 24 y.o. for less than a million euro per year" you should fucking pay taxes, cut expenses and work more.
