i'd like to see the list too out of  curiosity, but wouldn't advice to make it public.

The privacy, the flaming/raging and possible leaks of information from their site, what they did and how they did would create an arms race which i agree you can reduce by not telling.

In the end the information doesn't concern us players at all.

But i hope you give them the chance to defend themselves, sometimes(in rare cases) it can be unclear or misjudged if they really used hacks.

I've studied the list. Not many players in there with any serious skill level, oddly enough. I was reassured when reading it. Aparrently using autoblock does not make you a good player at all...

Wouldn't publishing the hacker names actually represent another reason NOT to hack? Perhaps some of the players here have friends, and they didn't want to have them know about what they did. Or they care about their "reputation" in general.

Otherwise they could just hack and when they get banned they could tell any story from "game became boring" oder "don't have time any more to play" to "I got banned for trolling an admin", as they know the admins won't tell anything.

You know, often it's even your reputation of being good that drives you to hacking, to not "dissapoint" the expectations of the others.

Though I know most hackers lack social skills anyway, so they can't have less friends than their current 0   


I still think the rest of the playership deserves to see under whom they suffered unjustifiedly (?)!

Right, but you haven't consulted player base - people that got shot or slashed by these cheaters - for their input. Maybe we could offer some more pros or cons?
