Anyway, the devs discussed it and they don't want to release the names, so there's really no point in asking after them.

The devs were basing their decision around what you posted. If you had posted asking them to keep it secret, they would have released the info.

Yes, but the devs are not our parents or something like that, and as we are harmed by hackers as well, or even more as the devs (as many of us play more than the devs), I think we have a right to participate in the discussion without being patronized by the devs. Until now I didn't hear any valid point against publishing the ban list except of some weird, perverted attempt to "protect" those bundle of stickss. Really, not a single one.

One of my friends was banned for this.  He used it once in a duel server to prove to us that it existed, then proceeded to completely get rid of it and never use it again.  He played a 1H so yeah...

When he asked if he could get his account back based on the above information, chadz denied him, which is a good decision IMO.  I'm sure that a lot of people are in the same boat, used it to see what it was like and it's capabilities, if it actually worked etc.  Glad to see something being done about it in any case.

Wow, 40, didn't realize so many hackers.  Also, is there a way to ban not just the cd key, but also the computer/internet port?  Seems just cd key they would just buy another game for cheap.  I'm sure you did this, but just want to make sure.  Thanks for keeping the streets clean for respectable people.  Oh, and its fine if you don't post the list, doesn't really matter now.

Pretty sure that's impossible, but it shouldn't matter anyway. If they return, they'll still be unable to use the hack again.

imo rebuying keys is not a big deal without their chars and the knowledge that hacking = ban they are either smart or waste another key

also to the "tried it once and uninstalled" people you fail at common sense.
two major mistakes are not asking the devs and testing it on a crpg server.

there is no way we can let this slide even if you only used it once for whatever reason.

to the ip-ban thingy most people have the option to switch their ip in one way or another so ip bans are pretty pointless in the worst case might hit the wrong people due changing ips.
