Not the point, that guy is apparently one of main protagonists in the movie. SJW have won, I'm only waiting for the gay Jedi.

 

Regardless if the clones aren't part of the stormtroopers at the time. Some Stormfront-esque kids would believe there's no black people either in that galaxy (i guess Lando was a white guy in disguise). It could be cool to see it from a stormtroopers perspective as a main character.


Anyhow you can just wait and see. And long time fans weren't originally ecstatic about the double edged lightsaber that Episode 1 brought in either. Change is necessary. Might look awesome during combat.

a) Getting a little creative with lightsabers.
b) Giving Stormtroopers more depth.
c) Having a black main character (it's not like black people can exist in a made-up universe or anything)

You remind me of these girls in school asking at the age of 13: "What, you are still reading comics? That's for children, I'm too grown up for that." That really hurt me, 'should there be a time when I'm too old to like Asterix?' - Gladly I'm grown up now and know that it's not true.

To be fair crossguards make complete sense when the other dude has a sword of light that can cut your hand off pretty easily if you mess up I mean its not like nearly every sword made has some kind of guard right.

never played star wars games except Kotor 1+2 so i hope they make a film about those. would be so cool

The story in the original films is classic, what i like is that you could fit the basic premise to a Cowboy film, Samurai film, pirate film or even medieval setting with dragons and the basic premise of an orphaned farm-boy joining an ancient order then going to avenge his father and restore his family honour etc against the evil empire still works.

The funny thing is George Lucas took the theme and premise' of the "hero's journey", traits and motifs common to most cultures' hero tales, and slapped a sci-fi theme to it.

The problem is the blade guards are pointless because they don't extend fully to the hilt, they have emitters extending from the hilt below where the actual blade emits. So they are blade guards that don't guard the hilt and are therefore worthless.

Look where the lightsaber starts on the crossguard guys, it's not flush to the lightsaber, if your enemies lightsaber hits the part between the crossguard blade and the main blade it's going to cut through it, #reking your lightsaber and #reking your hand, leaving you truly #rekt.

I didn't mind the rest of the trailer and I have my hopes for this movie, but that one small detail did really make me cringe and smell the cheddar, it's a stupid idea that they didn't need to put into the movie.
