Leave it to the nerds to spaz out about a cross guard saying it will chop off your fingers. How about we see the movie and see how it's used. Maybe this particular character has a fighting style that makes it useful?

And what the fuck is wrong with a black storm trooper? Other than it offends your racist ass what could possibly be the problem?

Like most Sci Fi and fantasy stuff it's mainly aimed at kids. Used to like it when I was younger but have generally outgrown these universes a long time ago.
