So glad to see this Revival patch coming.

Just one thing ; I hope this will not cause the rising of lightning speed uncatchable ninjas.

Thumbs up for the Donkey Team

Still waiting for the patch that removes mounted ranged. You know, the class for single player.

  • Aggressively improved balance of mounted ranged mechanics.
  • Improved horse balance to better reflect the survivability–offensive capabilities trade-off.
  • Reduced damage values for bows and throwing weapons to maintain current effectiveness with increased levels.

Looks like a hell of a revival for cavalry and ranged units :)

By the way, if you want a true revival
FIX THE GODDAMN STRATEGUS FIRST
This game is/was fun because of strategus, not because of your mechanics/animation tweaks to warband. There I said it ...

Weight penalty changes will mostly affect balanced STR characters, the improvement to WPF dramatically lose its interest the more STR (less WM/WPF) you have.

Its not a bad thing, but I would have prefered a more linear STR advantage  :P
Have you played with this calculator to see the impact armor will have on agi builds? While it doesn't state it in the OP (the original version did), lower weight gloves have had their weights increased, along with the glove weight modifier going from x4 to x6, as can be seen in the above link.

Shit, I just found it: http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/eu_1-is-dying/msg662792/#msg662792

Now that you are implementing this, I suddenly feel gratification.

Wow.. truly a unique, beautiful mind you have to be the one and only person, Years in advance of even the devs themselves, to dare imagine a reduced grind in cRPG and more diverse builds making the game better..

And now, on the eve of Warband 2 coming out and completely annihilating cRPG, Melee: Gaming, and any other similar project's community forever (don't worry, my own mod team is already in preliminary development of a true cRPG 2.0 for Mount and Blade 2, you can all be Early Investors soon as well) the Devs release a patch to finally make cRPG casual, dumbed-down and consolized.

Too little too late, while also being too much too soon.

What I, and I'm sure most people, really want is a way to directly donate to the hard-working cRPG devs, but get something in return. Like custom names for our weapons, unique textures for our endless +3s, maybe 2x horse charge bonus damage for a weekend. Five or ten dollars for a few extra stats on your weapons or horses (temporary of course) would make sense. It would be a good idea for the next patch so the game doesn't feel too casual now.
My posting is like a katana folded 1000 times to perfection.. and the community is what keeps the edge sharp.. and bloody.  -  Me.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

Also, can we return the servers to using native speed instead of this dumbed down one that reduces skill and makes builds more a determiner of success than skill?

Will we have our loom points reset what with over 40 new item types and complete changes to existing armors weights  and so forth?

Obviously there needs to be a boxing/ffa brawling event to celebrate this occasion.

Half of the server would run into problems with their ping. At the moment swinging is as fast as in native because we have higher wpf then the preset classes on native. If it gets faster then it will become more and more dependent that you have a low ping to be successful as people start investing in  WM again.
We're all nerds here, so it doesn't really matter.

I'll grant you that - by the way are we getting a free loom respec considering practically every item in the game is getting tweaked with difficulty setting or weight or speed and we are getting 40+ new item types?
