It wasn't given that the Portdigustings have a horrible tendency to push the acid way the fuck on everything they roast leaving the after taste to feel more like a chemistry experiment gone wrong than an actual coffee.

There is a shit load of awesome stuff coming out of north Africa at the moment. A lot good black coffee, big, thick oily black coffee that really throbs in the back of your throat.

But for serials, almost every coffee I had in Europe was poor. The roasters just didn't seem to give a shit about flavour or profile it tasted like they just shoved every bean in at the same temp and yanked out when an alarm went off.

Ltd in Brisbane uses a local roaster called clean skins and their black coffee comes out almost like cream it's fucking legendary. The filters and aeropress are almost always fucking great as well.

Let us agree to disagree then. Tastes and colors can't be argued even though I really am Gale Boetticher.

Black, no sugar, complete beans, high caffeine content.  Forget relaxation, stress is confirmation that one is alive.

Also I've never had coffee from Portugal :D

I was just determined to be an asinine dick.

Check out my Fav Coffee place in my home town:

some semi old fat women once thought about buying a bmw z4.  then she realized how shitty a huge woman looks in a roadster,  so she spent that money instead on a roasting machine or whatitscalled.

buddy of mine and myself were her first costomers (we walked in not realizing it was a week from actually opening).  So she sat down with us,  and told us a lot about her coffees,  gave us tons of diffrent ones to try,  explained what we tasted.

was fucking great,  and I can tell you,  she gave hell of a lot to make her coffee just right : )

Sounds like good digs Torben.
Fammi un pompino!

I think I have ball cancer in my right nut :(
Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)
Bad news everybody, I got dumped :(

So tell me, what heats up faster... your women or your coffee?

(click to show/hide)

Anyways I'm not much of a coffee guy, but my dad can make some kickass coffee. When I was visiting home one time he made a pot on his french press using freshly ground whole beans... damn good stuff.

When I was at boarding school we took a trip to Mexico and visited a communist coffee collective that bought in bulk from the great and conflict-ridden Mexican state of Chiapas.  Shit was dank as fuck and we met some guy who looked like Santa Claus there who worked as supreme caffeine leader, spoiling us with holy righteous holy coffee (nectar of the gods), in exchange for our plush privileged souls.  Needless to say, I still buy their coffee.

One of my favorite late morning rituals is grinding beans, waiting for just the right temperature, and brewing a single cup in a french press.
