TrollFaceGod, one of the first players who played 1h no shield consistently I think and one of the best in his time. Became 1h no shield myself cause of him.

Tydeus then goes and kills it.

Think you can blame EU for that death we had a group that used to log on and have 3-10 HX at the same time daily which back in the good old days was powerful stuff.
Smooth is the admin NA deserves. Not being that much better, EU deserves Thomek.

Str whore? He was 24/15, balanced Build for a 1h i'd say. And his Archer alt, camperus, was funny to watch how he pwned everyone in melee ;)

Same with me and Bob the Hero of Whals, I also started occasionally playing in first person to further emulate him [and it's swell]

UGLYBASTARD comes in mind when thinking about heavy 1h cav, but he was definitely not the first.

24/15 is not a balanced build
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

Pretty much yea, 3 stats difference is balanced. 6 is debatable, but 9? Thats a str build.

You're right, though never before I've heard someone calling 1h no shield "str whore".

Well for me it's not really about the equipment. You could be using a dagger and rags and be a strwhore, if you have a lot of str. Of course the strwhore cliché is the kuyak vaginamask permaholding his greatsword.

It could've been Aldo or someone else who first began the NBOH plated long polearm.

Thanks for the shoutout, but I never did wear plate apart from a round here and there. For the longest time i just wore a +3 heraldic mail with tabard. I actually remember Huesby accusing me of wearing plate before also, but he was thinking of this armour.

I wish my 13 IF build had become more of a staple build.

24/15 is not a balanced build
You probably never played 1h no shield, because it is on 1h without shield. I am a balanced build whore all the way, picking 18/21 on 30 and 21/21 on the higher levels for all my melee builds. But when I play 1h no shield, my builds of choice are 21/18 and 24/18. Fact of the matter is that 1h weapons have low damage values, but their low length, low weight, and low penalty that 1h weapon group receives combined means that you move relatively fast. Mechanics are built for using a 4-7 weight shield with it.

24/15 on 1h no shield feels like 21/18 pure pole/2h. 24/18 is the 21/21.
