This came from an internet website from which I hail, which I will not name here among these uncultured swine and plebs.

Pigs callings pigs pigs so we can say some animals are more equal than others

This mod is 4chan et all with horses and swords, its extremely difficult to sink any lower than that.

It never became a trend but thanks for the mention.

Black armor and great helmet w/ hat aren't a trend (never seen anyone else but you wear this combo), but plate+bec is quite a thing now.

Morningstar on horseback was first regularly used in cRPG by an EU cav player. Can't quite remember the name, one of the Guards/BD guys, iirc.

kapikulu_sunekti_dede (mind you im sure i spelled that wrong),  same time as some pecores 2hander did his barmace thing (was that you kafein?),  The_Finn was just before going black armor/plated charger (he still had heraldic tranny and cataphrac) and the shogunate sliced up servers.

nostalgia,  fuck yeah

Bane, founder of the Caravan Guild. Also known as Hamalech.

That's definitely Tennenoth. Here we call it the Tenne Hat.

I could be off on this but I think Cyranule started a trend with the 1 hand cav. It was always lancers and he popped up and showed you could top the board with it and not long after I started seeing a bunch more riding around.

he didn't start a trend with 1h cav, but I never saw anyone use long espada specifically and mainly stab on horseback before him, a bunch of people did it afterwards but now pretty much no one does it anymore.

LIE

I'm curious about some of the trendsetters in cRPG.  I made a post earlier today mentioning Devilize destroy dudes with a morning star while mounted on cav.  That got me to thinking... who was the first to make that build/setup popular?  I seem to remember Gigglebyte doing it way back in the day.  Was he the first to make it popular?

Pretty sure Fedor was that dude. LADY GAGA popularized it in NA. Was it Michael in EU? I forget.

ATS archers proved what coordinated archers could do in NA.

BeatrixKiddo started the plate + Cookies (Now Danish) trend, but what people didn't realize is that she was actually an Agi 2H who pumped for WPF instead of Athletics.

Ninjas influenced me. Pretty sure Smurfs (agi 2h in blue gambeson + hood) would have come about later without them.

Dexx, Rhuell, & co. popularized the pike duo.

crymoar influenced a whole generation of female lamellar no helmet i-can-do-it-all-by-myself heroes.

nk_ColdHart and Robin Longstride definitely started the sniper longbow on NA side post archer-with-armor nerf. I want to say some french archer clan did that on the EU side, but I'm probably wrong.

Can't begin to list the amount of influence Druzhina and the Templars have had- or the Something Awful players as a whole.

It could've been Aldo or someone else who first began the NBOH plated long polearm.

Holy shit I had no idea.

In another note, I wana say Rohypnol and RUFFIES (I think) helped demonstrate lancer + courser's hilarious OPness. They'd ride around naked and kill so much.

This, back when cav dogfights were possible.

Watching Dede is one of the reasons I started playing cav back in the days, but I never used a bar mace on horseback.

I set an extremely not-noteworthy trend of about 4 or so people wearing Eggheads (basinet w/ noseguards) for about 2 weeks.

Not sure if 100% but:
I was the first full time HX and was "meh." And I took it as a TROLLLOLOLOL idea by a clan mate.
Rohypnol got it and made a fucking beast class spawning others to copy him.
Tydeus then goes and kills it.
