You are downloading the better game, I still think DA:O is superior to inquisition in all parts except for animations and graphics. This "open world" in DA:I is just to mmo'ish, and it's clear the quest writers couldnt keep up with the world size, hence all these pick up this and kill 10 of this quests around.
I really enjoy it! but combat is surprisingly hard. even though I play "normal" I am failing so often that I sometimes want to give up. but then it tells you you'r way back is closed! :D  So I keep trying until I win.

Is anyone else getting CTD all the time after the last patch? I can't play in DirectX, and, with Mantle, it doesn't crash so much but loading times take 2 minutes minimum.

I bought the game without even looking at the minimum requirements (I hadn't done that in a long time), to then see that it requires Quad Core! I have a Dual Core i5 so maybe that's the problem. How about you guys? Is anyone able to play it without Quad Core and crashes?

EDIT: OMG! I'm a retard... I just found out after so many months having this i5 that it's actually Quad Core, and I always thought it was Dual Core.

So I'm guessing the problem is they just screwed up the game with this patch or the hotfix. I'm not the only one complaining about crashes in their forums either.

Still, do you guys get constant crashes too now?

So, the third patch is out. Is it still advisable to wait, or is it playable now?

It's been unplayable on DirectX since Hotfix for Patch 2 - constant CTD and bad resource allocation. You can play it on Mantle if you have AMD GPU, but zoning load times are very long.

I don't see any mention to stability on the patch notes.  :|

Same here. No issues. Neither on DX nor Mantle. Tho for the sake of loading times, I use DX.

Just have a look at all the threads. There are a few that have loads of pages with plenty of people having issues. More specifically, this thread contains a lot of info about the problems.

You guys are just lucky.

Do you know what "vocal minority" means? I can assure you, we are not "lucky", people with problems are unlucky. If only a few lucky ones had it working on DirectX - it's absurd I even have to mention this - there'd be a massive uproar EVERYWHERE about it, gaming news would be full of "DRAGON AGE INQUISITION - UNPLAYABLE!", "DRAGON AGE INQUISITION FLOPS ONLY 10 PEOPLE CAN PLAY IT" "BIOWARE DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A FIX!"

But guess what? That's not a thing. Because just like every PC game, some people have trouble running it. Most people don't.
