Whatever you do in DA:I, stay away from Knight Enchanter. Or at least don't spec "Fade Shield."

DW Rogues are the most fun to play, IMO. Requires a lot of maneuvering and fast evades, but does high DPS.

Is there an option to disable those weird visual effects like "weapon attack traces" and "wind behind you" as you gallop? I was looking at a couple of videos and it looks nice, but I don't like those unnecessary effects.
Does anyone know? I'd like to try this but not with all those animeish effects.

I couldnt find any way to reduce that horse thing in particular, but I did set down some settings to low that removed some of the overdone spell effects and moves in combat.

Thanks to this thread I am curently downloading Dragon Age: Origines Ultimate edition (5€ on steam)
lets see what it is all about. If good I might get the inquisition as well.

You are downloading the better game, I still think DA:O is superior to inquisition in all parts except for animations and graphics. This "open world" in DA:I is just to mmo'ish, and it's clear the quest writers couldnt keep up with the world size, hence all these pick up this and kill 10 of this quests around.

The thing with DA:I sidequests is that you don't have to do the ones you don't want to do. There's plenty of good ones, and they're usually obvious from the quest description. If the quest is "fetch 3 fur for the villagers so they don't freeze", you can safely ignore it. And looking at DA:O combat gameplay on Youtube makes me glad to play Inquisition again, combat is 100 times more fun.

I guess I agree, should have stated a thing in between DA:O and Inquisition animations. Origins are to slow, Inquisition are overdone.

i'd honestly sacrifice the whole dragon age saga for a kotor 3 tbh :(
If they use the experience they gained making DA:I , take all the good things , the graphics, the vast open worlds, the  improved combat (and hopefully improve ai), the scale ... and blend it with the KOTOR story/charm... mother of god.

there should be like a sort of wizardry that allows that, like take 3 virgin blu ray discs, two expensive VGA, 32gb of ram while pronouncing a certain witchcraft like 0010100010100101 etc and then DA is deleted from history and kotor 3 is released

Who cares about Gaytor, Witcher 3 is gonna be out soon. DA:I is good, but just an appetizer. TW3 has real cities and looks like it'll have great sidequests.

Haha this guy is a Melee: Battlegrounds developer? Glad to know I shouldn't bother supporting the Kickstarter if bad-opinioned Russian shitposters are making actual decisions on how to spend thousands of other people's dollars.

CD Projekt RED's no DRM policy is enough to make me buy this no matter how the game actually turns out.  Says many good things about a dev that doesn't force you to use a certain distribution platform or shove DRM up your ass.

I'm glad I decided to buy the game. The "anime style" isn't as exaggerated as I thought, and the combat is indeed a lot of fun. The graphics are awesome and it runs quite smoothly. And I love the fact that you can jump over stuff.

2 hand got a cool skill:

Active skill for Parry, you press the button, dude takes a deflecting stance while holding, stamina runs, when an enemy hits you he's going to counter-attack and knockback... so much fun to play like this... :D I love it. Careful with those crush-through guys tho :?

This is a surprisingly big deal.

DW Rogues are the most fun class in the game. Everyone should play them.

Yeah, jumping sort of adds an extra dimension. Remember talk about TW considering not including jumping during WB beta, really glad they didn't go through with it, just imagine it.
