The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.
After ranged penetration removed, it had the side effect of nerfing the throwing lance the most. Right now, 6 ammo of +3 throwing lances deal the same total damage as the old +3 throwing lances with the extra penetration. Damage is now simply more evenly distributed with more versatility as well. Pure throwers have a use for 0 slot throwing weapons for once. Throwing knives, buckler, and 1slot weapons add some more options while keeping similar total power to how it was before. 2 stacks of throwing lances and 1 stack of throwing daggers total damage mirrors 4 stacks of jarids, leaving one 0 slot item to spare.Additionally, lighter horses received a slight hp increase, so there's a combination of effects at play.
Another unimportant patch.
So... Why would anyone pick throwing lances above other throwing? What is the advantage of the throwing lances compared to the other throwing weapons vs. upkeep/"mirrior-damage"? It is the highest damage/difficult throwing weapon.
I think this is one of the most important.
Throwing lances are cool.
Voice commands play a big part in determining the atmosphere of the game.That being said, this version of voices is not so good. The version immediately before this was way better. More urgent and badass. Except the yell, that was bad because there was no variety.Orginial voice for yelling was the best. "Coward!" "You'll pay with your life!"
Dadao has changed but it isn't in the logs?
How was it changed? I can't see any difference in stats.
