I just wish someone made a competitive FPS other than CS, but everyone's too busy implementing p2w microstransactions and retarded gimmicks into their FPS games.
Try Squad or maybe that's not considered competitive.

Squad is pretty much the opposite of a competitive FPS. There's no shortage of "realistic" FPS games. And not saying they can't be good, but it's a very different style of game from competitive FPS.

Realistic is taking a shot (one shot) to your kevlar (if you're lucky to be square to the enemy and they're aiming for center mass) and falling down in extreme agony because you just took a tremendous amount of force to small point and your body armor cracked and broke a few ribs.

What they should do is make first shot accuracy 100%, lower recoil cooldown when firing in taps/short bursts and balance it by making a damage drop off over longer ranges, so that AK doesn't become the prefered weapon over AWP or something for the longest ranges (such as Dust 2 pit to A).

It wouldn't. I know that's the argument everyone uses for it being inaccurate, but it's a retarded reason. AWP is 1 hit kill, with AK you'd have to hit one pixel headshots. And if someone CAN hit those... why shouldn't they be rewarded? Worse, why should they be rewarded with a headshot if their aim was OFF? The zoom and 1 hit kill from everything but legs already gives AWP a massive advantage over long range, making the AK actually hit where you aim wouldn't unbalance things.

I guess you're right. I actually dislike AWP a lot, 1 hit kill on pretty much the entire hitbox but the legs is bullshit. Honestly think the game would be better without AWP.

The best part is when people ask for AWP nerfs on steam forums, and fanboys come there and say literally almost everytime something among these :

- git gud brah
- AWP is harder than AK/M4 playstyles, no matter what
- you're fucked when enemies pick up the AWP from somebody's corpse, therefore its strength makes its weakness.
- AWP is a top-tier gun that is breddy expensive, no need to nerf
- it's been like that for more than 10 years, so it musn't be changed.

I'm also bad (not only at AWPing, but whatever), but the AWP has a potential when used right, that anyone trying to peak an awp without flashing is going to get destroyed if the guy knows what he's doing.

That's why the game is not about 5 people pushing hardly one spot, but people cooperating and using tactics to plant the bomb (allegedly). Using the awp is a risk, at proper levels missing a shot is a death sentence, plus it costs a lot and from closer range is ofc shit. Also it's not possible to use for quickscopes, there's a brief window where it's not 100 % accurate. Dunno after the nerf awp to me is pretty much balanced, but i might be wrong
