A much needed nerf to xbows.  Grade A patch.  Finally!

A change indeed. At first I was rather pissed, but after adjusting and playing some, all thats changed for me is:
1 less athletics
1 more ps
Pretty much the same in wpf
Easier in melee due to more ps, can wear heavier armor, can pick up more weapons if needed.
Was 12/30 before, am 15/27 now

Actually not bad, less squishy and can hurt tincans more,might even go 1h/2h with all those wpf points, with 5 ps the mace is a nice option aswell

Shouldnt the Persian Battle Axe be balanced with the Long Axe instead of the Great Long Axe? Seems like it is out of place.

The 1slot boar/spear changes seem pretty cool.

Pike should be a lot more fun in solo-battle when you can sidearm a polearm and not have to rely on random allies for protection.

12/24 Spear + Javelin + 2skill shield seems like a delightful skirmisher/archerpest.

+3 long axe is still the same stat, so does the regular one. +1 and +2 items have been buffed across the board, making them more viable. Going +3 still gives a last bonus, but not the biggest one as before.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

Valour is tougher now, but I think it makes up for it by being easier if your team gets destroyed.

Was doing fine with a +0 one earlier, most of the time even better than when I was using a +3 elite cav shield. Would be glad to take it off your hands, although I only have 1lp and 325k.



Think of the kite shields as something in-between a buckler and "heater" shields (brown lion is the exception), it makes more sense why the durability had to decrease when the weight was decreased.

Yeah, being inconsistent with looks + stats is odd, but all that was thrown out the wayside once shield weights were increased from native levels.

I made a suggestion to buff the green crescent since it still looked pretty useless. Brown lion heater imo already had too much hp, should've been closer to 320-340 (cowarded out at scratched it off at the last minute). I could understand frustration about the shield being different now, but I wouldn't agree that it's nerfed to the ground since the weight was more than halved and speed increased by 4. Based on its armour, coverage, and weight, Hp would be better at 270 - 280, but that's just nitpicky.

I like the stats of the tweaked shields, but my apprehension about it with the increased difficulty of the knightly kite shield came through. Unlike the bucklers which seem like dueling shields, the kite shields are more anti-archer / chase-down, not meant to soak up a ton of melee hits.

I used it on a heavy armor str build (24/15) character and it worked out great and the weight being decreased is counted as a nerf for me too (against crush through). so ye...being useless now, swapped it with a traingle shield plus 150k on top :/
